well they do now. the easy wins were supposed to be this weekend!the_big_E said:The Rangers and Hurricanes seem to have softer schedules down the stretch, whereas the Leafs have one of the tougher ones.
It actually makes sense but in a stupid way. The same stupid way that even when a team "loses" they still get a point. The same stupid way some games are worth two points in the standings and some are worth three points.guyroch said:. Oh the one that is a joke is win and loss record ... Goalie
gets credit for shoot out / overtime win but in the loss column it is ignored if he losses that game ..
Yeah, but was I the only one who thought right after they scored the second goal, how long before New Jersey scores? The next jersey rush into the leaf zone I thought "oh no, here we go, they're going to score" and surprise surprise, they did. 40 seconds later. It was like as a team, they relaxed after the second goal and let their guard down. When the jersey player came down the boards it was like no one on the leafs wanted to hit him so he just danced around all the statues.....21pro said:...or simply don't do well in shootouts.
leafs win a big one tonight! ...they're just teasin' with us again, right?
that was an exciting scrap.

At least one thing: tonight they played like they were actually fighting for that last playoff spot instead of a team that was securely in second place like they have been.
Guy. Chill out, dude.guyroch said:Another medicore NHL player tied up for two years by this GM .. Who the f*@K is going to take the GM job when this J*@ss is using salary cap room ... This team might not make the playoffs and we will be stuck with this team for next year too ...

He didn't say they were world beaters but they're the best we've got (Blue Jays pending) and least they're competitive and in the playoffs.new2game said:...you mean that 5 games over .500 Raptors???....who are creating false hope because theyare first in a dvision that sucks ass..where the next team in the division has spent most of the year below .500??....Those Raptors???

The Maple Leafs were playing with desperation for the first two periods. Then, unfortunately, they went out of gas in the third period. The Sabres exploded in the third period with 4 goals and the Leafs just did not have enough left to counter. Unfortunately, the desperate team could not win tonight. Perhaps they committed a strategic mistake by going too hard in the first two periods.the_big_E said:un fucking real.
Cough up a 4-1 lead in the 3rd.
They dont deserve the playoffs.
One may say that Miller kept the Sabres in the game when he had to. Raycroft was less than stellar in the third period. In defense of Raycroft, if the Toronto players could help out the goalie during the game, they might still come out ahead.guyroch said:Their goalie had to face 19 shots and kept his team in it and our goalie
lets in four goals in the third when we ran out of gas and we needed him to
save our ass ..
