Not to blame the victims but it was unwise to stage that music festival only 3 miles from the border. Also, it appears there were no or enough armed escorts at that festival.
Anybody who has seen that border know it is a flat contiguous piece of land with little or no man made or natural fortifications/obstacles.

Biden showing up with two Carrier groups and I image ammo ships on the way are a declaration that any air power that tries to stop what's coming is going down. And a few well placed cruise missiles will deal with Hezbollah and any of the piddly groups in Syria.
Its going to be ugly. No doubt Hamas will commit mass murder on their own people for clickbait. And continue to hide behind civilians like the cowards they are.

Definitely a lapse of judgement and the complacency in part of Israel... Hamas on the other hand knows the retaliation will be biblical and still went with it...with no regard for the lives of the people they were suppose to be "fighting" for...
