What has the bike lanes got to do with crime? That is a separate topic all together!!
If you were paying attention...the article about the bike lanes that I was responding to was from a media outlet in Sudbury...hence my comment.

The title sounds like bullshit and the article doesn’t support it.
You come up with all the BS, when you do not want to do the Research yourself:
So here goes:

A 2019 city study found that 44 per cent of Torontonians bike in good weather to get to school, work, shop or visit friends. It also found 26 per cent of people bike for fun or fitness only, making 70 per cent of Torontonians cyclists in some capacity. The survey was conducted by Nanos online in May 2019, with a final sample size of 1,519 residents.

Of course I know it is an article from there. But again what does bike lanes have to do with Crime in that area? The highest crime rates are in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Are you going to blame the Premiers that rule those Provinces?

No I'm saying that they should be focused on their high crime rate rather than looking at other cities' bike lanes.

Do I need to draw you pictures or something? OMFG

Ohhh dear, can they not address both at the same time? Again that is just a media from Sudbury. Should they ignore bike lanes from being reported and only concentrate on crimes?

Not Toronto but I doubt Ottawa is much different.
Went for a 40 minute walk on Bank street south of the 417 around 3 to 4. I saw 5 people on bikes in bike lanes, another 3 walking their bikes on the side walks. Hundreds of pedestrians and a fuck ton of cars and people on buses. It was also perfect weather for taking the bike, not too warm, not to cold, no rain.

Seen the same in downtown Montreal, thier bike lanes are hardly used. People walk, drive or take the bus/metro even on good days.

44% use their bike to commute, is obvious bullshit, I doubt 44 percent of people even have bikes. Even if it was a true study that didn't suffer from some sort of bias, based on what the mark 1 A 2 eyeball, those people are not using their bikes very often.

Bikers are up here in my town every weekend, I find it confusing why ordinary traffic laws are not followed by bikers, mostly stopping at stop signs?? Can anyone t me why??
Because when a walker comes to a complete stop, starting again is trivial. With a car, the gas does the effort. In a bike coming to a complete stop and tthen going again takes a bit of effort, easier to just slow down a bit and hope for the best.

What relevance do bike lanes in Toronto have to do with Sudbury?

Do the Toronto newspapers not report about crimes, major events, etc outside of the GTA? These news media will report everything that occurs not only in Ontario but Canada itself.
Is there a law against that?

No law against that. Just funny that they have one of the highest crime rates yet focus on Toronto bike lanes. Big news?

on the Ontario government web site concerning bike lane removal

there is a consultation time frame that closes on Nov.20

you can still post your comments there until then

after Nov.20 hopeful all bike lanes on 3 major streets will be removed

it will be a nice Christmas gift for Toronto commuters

DoFo just posts those for show, he won't change any policy.
His commute to Queens Park is Bloor to University so he just wants it faster.

just pointing out the time line

also as a foot note, your silly names for conservative politicians

are making you look very immature
Why is DoFo look 'immature' to you?
Maybe Dough Frod is immature, but DoFo?

Ford is premiere, he should stay the fuck out of city politics, he's screwed up the province enough and what he's doing to the city is a shit show.
Ontario Place, Science Centre, a tunnel under the 401?

The Bloor St bike lanes are always busy now, its really stupid to tear them down.

Yup, bike lanes are all over small towns in Ontario.

Everyone knows the idea was retarded. But it's all about money.

Consultants got paid millions to craft a scheme to launder tax player dollars and came up with 'bike lanes', then hired their friend's contractors who got paid more millions to build the bike lanes.

This is just an transparent example of government corruption, the fleecing of tax payer money right in front of everyone.

Nobody bats an eye over it.
The above eruption of nonsense is how democracies die.

You think bike lanes are expensive but don't have a problem with DoFo wasting money with the LCBO, Ontario Place, Science Centre or other giveaways like license plate renewal fees?
