What bothers me most about Kamala is that she was participating willingly and enthusiastically in the "Great Biden Lie", that Biden was competent and a suitable candidate for another 4 years as President, despite her intimate knowledge of the actual facts.

This was essentially dishonest, and she was prepared to back him all the way up to the election, in the knowledge that sooner or later she would become the de facto President, with the unacknowledged, but fully expected, participation and guidance of Barack Obama and the rest of his crew.

More shameful than anything Trump has ever done in his Presidential duties.
Difficult situation though.

Who takes the first step to declare that the boss is unfit?

And what happens when everybody else closes ranks and says the boss is just fine and your career is then completely fucked?

I actually think that if you wanted a more fair TERB reaction you would post this poll in The Lounge. The political forum has been hijacked by progressives who don't fairly represent the broader membership.
No, it hasn't.

Here you have Mitch, Vinson, Jimi and a bunch of other guys.

Mitch is a one man show. Remember Frank was oddly becoming a progressive darling here until he decided to blow himself up for Palestine.

Being against racial supremacy and genocide is still progressive, Wyatt.
Progressive here means lib/ndp but in the US that's read as commie.

Harris would be fine except for her support of genocide, I still don't understand how people think backing genocide is 'pragmatic' or reasonable. Most dems poll the same way, they also want a ceasefire.

The vice president has effectively no power, they are expected to vote as their president expects IF there is a vote breaking situation and wait for the HNIC to be unfit or die
Once they get the top job, they can go off in a different direction.
A sitting member of parliament who becomes party leader is probably a minister of some sort and they do have more impact. Even the backbenchers have a say and can always threaten a revolt.

Look at Vance, he was picked even though he was a never Trumper who thinks Trump could be an American Hitler. Harris called Biden a racist. VPs main job is to broaden the appeal or solidify the base of the president and to follow orders.

It is though a bit weird to run against the former leader. Truedooh makes a habit of doing that, running against Harper even after the later is no longer in parliament and yes I did think it was lame.
Yes parties tend to have themes but a VP is very much a non entity unless someone sods off. I am sure at some point you know this, but now refuse to believe because you have been grifted.
You put a lot of thought into this and it is well-written. That doesn't mean we have to agree with this.

If Biden was more popular, she would be running close to him. Harris' limited description of her policies to date sound like Biden 2.0. Why is it unfair they be assessed that way? Harris can always say here's where I would do things differently but we know that won't happen. (Hate Trump or like Trump, the guy puts his own stamp on things.)

The Trudeau/Harper thing isn't comparable. Biden is the current Democrat running the country. The Republican ticket is running against the Democratic ticket.

PS- To hark back to the ad slogan this is not your father's Oldsmobile. If her policies look like and feel like an Oldsmobile, they are her father's Oldsmobile.

Because i do not believe the conservator will fix shit.

Canada needs immigrants to keep its economy afloat. Yet we have no where to house them! We are lacking 1 million houses!

I am thinking might as well go ndp! I prefer the socialist pathway to the greedy capitalist one.
This country was built on immigration I agree with you. But it has to be sustainable and on a points system with entrants vetted. That hasn't been the case since Trudeau got into power.

here i agree with you. Like i wrote the problem is i do not believe on PP and conservator fixing anything. We need to let much fewer immigrants but mostly start building government based housing for the masses. Without a roof for all anything else will go to shit. Some will turn to violence, drug, fall into mental problems... The basic need of eating and having a roof must be available for all.

It's a valid point.

However if we are using the generalized "the boss" analogy, when the boss is deemed incapacitated or incompetent sometimes good people are thrown out the door with them.

Fox offers 3 debate nights to Trump and Harris with Bret and Martha as moderators and Trump says no because he doesn't want those moderators, he wants Jesse and Laura, HAHAHAHA, what a fucking hypocrite.

Go to 4.20 to hear Trump throw FOX hosts under the bus.

WHOA: Fox host TURNS ON TRUMP after debate debacle

I'm ok with gov't providing some housing but the private developers should be driving the construction of new dwellings. Unfortunately the environment for that in Canada is less than optimal.

you're not doing your homework Squeezy...
The one who isn't doing his homework besides reading just headlines, tweets and Trump bullshit nonsensical propaganda is you my naive friend.

However, only 80 miles of new barriers have been built where there were none before - that includes 47 miles of primary wall, and 33 miles of secondary wall built to reinforce the initial barrier.

I included the important information from the article because I know you have a hard time going on after the headline.

You're welcome! I am always here to try and show you the light.

Do you have a background in business with some university-level economics?

I am curious, is Trump correct when he tells his maga base that CHINA will be paying the US oooodles and oooooodles of tax money because of his imposed tariffs? Is this how tariffs work, the country the tariff is imposed on pays all the taxes to the country imposing the tariff.
At some level, it would cut into Chinese profit margins. Over time, it would encourage producers in Asia and likely Mexico to compete in those sectors.

There is a very simple economic rule that many people (and politicians) often ignore. If you want less of something, tax it. In this case, we want less Chinese exports into the U.S.

So in short, China and U.S. consumers would both pay the tariffs.

I think this is one of these not so great counterarguments that seems to get lost in the emotions against Trump. The European Union is contemplating tariffs against China. I believe the Biden Administration left many or all of Trump's previous tariffs in place.

I know one powerful group that opposes tariffs..........Wall Street. Believe me, they have a lot of highly-paid economists on staff to back up their POV.

Obviously you have poor people skills too... Trump can't be too technical when explaining to Americans how Tariffs work. He needs to reach every american the best way they understand it... What has Kamala so far has said? Giving 50k to small businesses, 6k to support family...where are those funds coming from? LOL
You happy with her answer to the very first question?
Be honest.

so not only did he build the wall, he also reinforced the old one that didn't work....good to know....but as soon as he left...they open the borders so the wall also didn't work...the wall from your link that was build by his predecessors to stop illegals from crossing, didn't work because well...the gates were open...LOL...I can do this all day...
