Neither. Canadians are just a little bit more reasonable and believe in actual freedoms for people than resorting to meaningless rhetoric like the Americans.
I don't know your handle.

You should dig into Canada's structural economic stagnation for the last two decades. You're falling behind the industrialized West while most of your population lives 100 miles from an economic engine to the South. Something's up and it ain't your economy.

Like I have said before, the economy pays for all the nice "social" things people seem to want the government to provide.

I actually think that if you wanted a more fair TERB reaction you would post this poll in The Lounge. The political forum has been hijacked by progressives who don't fairly represent the broader membership.

The US is in huge decline. I have travelled it intensively for many years. Canada is in decline as well but we will fair just a tad bit better because of our social security measures.
One word: Stagnation
Stagnation could be tolerable to some hardcore lefties who are 100% about their ideals.
The problem is you have an immigration system that you can't pay for and that will drain everything else.

I teach my kids (who are almost adults) to prepare a move to Asia, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and maybe even Mexico...
Do you even know what you are talking about? They might be great places to visit, but most of them are a mess.

Sure if you make your money in North America, you can live comfortably in the rest of the world. Never mind that most the locals are fucked.

Trump has to find something else other than immigration to talk about because it was novel in 2016, repetitive and redundant in 2024. IMHO.
How can an issue that Americans currently put right up there with the economy as most important be repetitive and redundant?

We live down here. If we live in or near a reasonable size U.S. city, we see the issue for ourselves first-hand.

This is something the left-leaning Canadians here cannot comprehend or refuse to comprehend. We are not making up mass migration.

Fuck! If Kamala loses, this along with inflation will be the big reasons. The Biden Administration should have acted sooner but were beholden to the progressive wing of the party.

All the righties in my X feed are wailing and whining like crazy. It can only mean Trump lost badly.
Trump's lost (as you put it) debates before. I enjoy the network analysts spinning their post-debate analysis. They micro-analyze everything he says. We're used to that down here.

Trump has never won a debate as he lies about everything but MAGA believes
his whopping lies and that is very sad

If Trump ever comes to Canada we will throw him in jail
