More shameful than to claim that Haitians were eating pets, and double down on it even after getting fact checked by the mods? I don't think so.

Seems like it was mentioned a lot in the debate tonight, but we also have a large, porous Southern border that a very loud, vocal minority wants to keep open.
I think that the Dems and their supporters have become more receptive to tightening the borders than they were even 10 years ago. I'll give trump credit for making it a concern earlier. However, his extreme and cruel measures were too harsh.

Which reflects Canadian views more than Twitter.

It's 53 now.

You should dig into Canada's structural economic stagnation for the last two decades. You're falling behind the industrialized West while most of your population lives 100 miles from an economic engine to the South. Something's up and it ain't your economy.
Are you saying that most of our population has lived within 160km of the border for only the last 2 decades?

Clearly this has always been the case and proximity to the border is a moot point.

The righties' responses are nothing but loser talk. All they have is complaining about the moderators.

They actually mirror trump's whining. Everybody's against me. Woe is me. I'm a victim. Loser talk.

Why are they not defending his cat eating claims. They should prove that his statements are valid.

Endless grievances and whining. And they have the audacity to call others snowflakes

I actually think that if you wanted a more fair TERB reaction you would post this poll in The Lounge. The political forum has been hijacked by progressives who don't fairly represent the broader membership.
More loser talk. Discussing the debate and the poll is exactly why the political forum was created. The people who don't give a shit will stay in the general forum. The people that actually do care, come to the political forum.

That's the whole point. Those who come to the political forum get excited about this poll. They generally come to the political thread with a POV that they want to express on social media. Most voters only care a fraction of how much we care about this.

You seem to be bent out of shape that I would dare suggest posting it in The Lounge.

I'm not sure you followed the thread. I said several times Kamala won the debate. Why would I say that if I was trying to influence or improve the vote for Trump?

So more hyper-aggressive talk without much thought.

How did she get where she's at now? Did she herself win any primaries?

She's there because she caught a ride on Biden.

Nice rhetoric, but again we have to suspend knowledge of the last two months.
Your original post (OP) was; I didn't hear that tonight.

I gave you proof that Trump was fixated on Biden, but you've seemed to go off on a Trumpian tangent. Weird.

What am I missing? Cuz Kamala says so? That's proof.

Sitting Vice Presidents always have to find a way to navigate between the Administration and perhaps their own platform. Most of the media has been talking about this challenge.

What's weird about saying she can't run away from the previous 3.5 years? Do Canadians think it's "weird" to judge a new Party Leader based on their party's governance?

I think you have to demonstrate something more to make whatever point you think is there.

The vice president has effectively no power, they are expected to vote as their president expects IF there is a vote breaking situation and wait for the HNIC to be unfit or die
Once they get the top job, they can go off in a different direction.
A sitting member of parliament who becomes party leader is probably a minister of some sort and they do have more impact. Even the backbenchers have a say and can always threaten a revolt.

Look at Vance, he was picked even though he was a never Trumper who thinks Trump could be an American Hitler. Harris called Biden a racist. VPs main job is to broaden the appeal or solidify the base of the president and to follow orders.

It is though a bit weird to run against the former leader. Truedooh makes a habit of doing that, running against Harper even after the later is no longer in parliament and yes I did think it was lame.
Yes parties tend to have themes but a VP is very much a non entity unless someone sods off. I am sure at some point you know this, but now refuse to believe because you have been grifted.
