Malgin and Robertson in a previous year had great pre-seasons. Doesn't mean much. It's not real competition and it's only a few games. Both Detroit and Toronto played their AHL lineup for their road games in their final two.

I find it funny that Chicago with Petr Mrazik and Foligno beat Kyle Dubas' Penguins.

The Leafs probably have the two oldest and slowest defence men in the league. If the Leafs don’t improve the defence and goaltending, they’ll have no chance to go far in the playoffs.

Reeves had an impactful first period. A few big hits, drew a penalty and had a good chance to score.

I agree the Leafs defence isn't good enough to win the cup but Treliving has time this season to make trades.
