Yes, it's Bettman's fault that the Leafs haven't won the cup in almost 60 years.

Has nothing do with Bettman at all lol, the reason why ? They more teams now than 60's 70's,80's and the 90's.
It harder chance to win the cup now .
Leafs are badly managed too over the years too, it takes a team to win the cup not just star or couple of stars players to do it all

Matthews is one of the best goal scorer currently in the NHL, he will finished atleast the top 5 when he retires

I've heard that he's forced them to make bad trades, not draft or develop well, overpay their stars and hire bad coaches. Fuck Bettman.

That would explain why he gets booed everywhere he goes.

It's only been two games but Marner seems a little off, and Nylander (the locker room cancer) is looking strong. Nylander is doing a better job of driving to the net.

I completely underestimated what Ryan Reeves brings to the table. Knocking a guy Goudreau on his ass screwed them up for a bit. Basically took Faligno and Goudreau out of the game for a bit. Not to mention, you have to think Gaudreau would be weary if Reeves was on the ice again during one of his shifts.

Leafs have more toughness this year, but I have to give credit to Simmonds and Clifford. They tried their best to make the team tougher in limited roles the past couple of years. Although I'm not a fan of fighting I admire enforcers and what they do for their teammates.

I guarantee that the Habs aren't scared. Reaves will have his head on a swivel looking out WiFi the next time they play Montreal. And Reaves would have to a) be on the ice at the same time as Bedard; and b) be fast enough to catch him

Reaves said he's looking for round 2.

Sucks that we have to wait until March.

That's the problem with expansion and having every team play each other at least twice, you get fewer Leafs vs Montreal (rivalry games).

Big matchup tonight, Bedard vs Matthews. The Leafs usually suck on Monday/Tuesday night games and they play down to weaker teams. This could be a stinker for the Leafs. Maybe Woll will steal the show for the Leafs?

I'm fine with playing 3 times a year if it means more Mcdavid and Makar. But they could do a better job of scheduling. Oct, March and April makes no sense.

March and April makes sense, Leafs are making a push for a playoff spot, Montreal could play spoilers or could fight for a Wildcard.

I'm as big a Habs fan as you'll ever find and even I don't think that the Habs had any chance of making the playoffs this year. With Dach out long term, our slim chance is now none.

They made the playoffs ranked 24th and 18th not too long ago. Dream the dream.

They also had a HOF goalie who was playing out of his mind. Can't see Jake Allen coming close to that.

They also had a captain who would staple you to the boards if you took liberty with any of his teammates.

Even with a healthy Dach I don't see the Habs making the playoffs. The East is too strong especially with the upstarts Buffalo and Ottawa knocking on the door. If he can stay healthy enough I see Caufield with a 40+ goal season. I think Kaden Guhle will develop nicely and they made a great move bringing in Alex Newhook.
