As far as I'm concerned the so called Euro Super League clubs can bugger off and start their own closed shop league, good riddance! But those clubs should no longer be allowed to compete in their respective domestic leagues or Cup competitions. Sure, it'll dilute the talent available to domestic leagues quite a bit, but the major upside is domestic leagues would be a hell of a lot more competitive. As for the current Champions League, revert that back to the European Cup, when the respective CHAMPIONS of European Leagues got together for a tournament, running concurrent with domestic leagues the following season.
Similar plans are afoot in golf. Some 'nodding donkey' state has offered up eye watering amount of $$ for top golfers to start a league. Same thing should apply as footy. Sure, bugger off to the 'land of plenty more', but don't expect to play on the PGA Tour, European Tour, 4 established Majors, Ryder Cup, or Presidents Cup etc.
Can't have you're cake and eat it too!!
