Then you admit that N95 masks alone are not enough.Obviously I said. Why would I deny it??
I mean what I say, and I say what I mean.
Current masks arent working. Mass-wearing of N95 masks is whats needed
Works for me.

No I never admitted that. Dont make me laugh with these gotcha questions. Then you admit that N95 masks alone are not enough.
Works for me.
Do you think a bunch of bearded guys wearing N95's will be effective?Current masks arent working. Mass-wearing of N95 masks is whats needed

Sounds like you have dispensed with the idea of discussing ideas and are now just sticking your fingers in your ears and screaming.
I don't have to "gotcha". I have your quote. No I never admitted that.
N95 mask is the best mask thats out there. Much better than the masks people are currently wearing.

Obviously if only 50 out of 100 people wore a N95 mask it wouldnt make much of a difference.
You admitted there that N95s in and unto themselves are not enough if people do not follow ALL of the protocols. Some of those are avoiding large gatherings, especially indoors, and faithfully wearing the masks when in the presence of others. In that picture, you right here just agreed that the proper equipment is useless without following protocols as well.
Hence, my statement of "effective equipment (including N95) AND compliance is what is needed" is accurate. You have admitted above that possessing proper equipment without compliance is ineffective. Your statement cannot be interpreted any other way. Will you try to spin it? Good luck on that one
You have no rebuttal. Your statement can only be interpreted the way that I did. Thanks for agreeing.Current masks arent working. Mass-wearing of N95 masks is whats needed

Current masks arent working. Mass-wearing of N95 masks is whats neededDamn...... Looks like a doosy of a thread I have missed. Anyone want to give me the Coles note version?
I don’t want to have to make you repeat why you think that but....Current masks arent working. Mass-wearing of N95 masks is whats needed![]()
They seal the air off much better than surgical masks, plus the fabric will protect you from bacteria and viruses by about 95% (hence the name N95 mask). See pic below on how much infected air can escape from a flimsy surgical mask (which is the mask most Torontonians are currently wearing).I don’t want to have to make you repeat why you think that but....

You have no rebuttal. You admit good equipment is not enough. Other measures are required in conjunction. You can repeat yourself ad nauseum but it does not prove your point.
Tell me how your statement does not mean that wearing wearing N95 alone, is insufficient. Or are you just going to be a broken record?Current masks arent working. Mass-wearing of N95 masks is whats needed
It is not that wearing them alone is insufficient. It is when only 50% of the population using it that it then becomes insufficient. It is about the amount of people not using them, not the masks itself.Tell me how your statement does not mean that wearing wearing N95 alone, is insufficient. Or are you just going to be a broken record?

No alternate explanation means you agree with me.Current masks arent working. Mass-wearing of N95 masks is whats needed
The point is that from mid-Oct until New Years, against guidelines there were tons of parties and gatherings with eating and drinking where people were taking off their masks along with so many demonstrations and defiant people against masks and other regs. That corresponds exactly to the last huge spike we had. It proves that masks alone do not stop infections. It does not prove that only N95s work, Phil's assertion. It is not that wearing them alone is insufficient. It is when only 50% of the population using it that it then becomes insufficient. It is about the amount of people not using them, not the masks itself.
At least that is my take away, but again, I am tuning in 46 pages into the thread. I may have this out of context.

Hence having masks alone, any kind, is not sufficient. The spike in cases proves that N95 masks alone do not work.
Good masks AND compliance is needed.
