Interesting.I only wear one in crowed spaces because one can catch all kinds of diseases from other humans. I don't see a downside to wear one.
so did you practice this before Covid?

I wore a mask when I had a cold when I was around vulnerable people like in hospitals and seniors homes. Also, wore a mask during SARs. Didn't see any downside. Sort of like wearing a helmet when riding my bike or wearing a condom when doing the deed with strange women or wearing a seat belt when driving the car.Interesting.

Very interesting.
Would you consider yourself germophobic?
Only when there is a widespread disease.
When SARS hit I never saw anyone wear a mask.
A mask was mandatory at Toronto Western and also when one is dealing with dialysis patients.
Could that be because SARS had a much shorter incubation period** allowing those exposed to be identified before we had widespread community spread?Very interesting.

Precursor? Do you mean virus from the same family in the same way that whales and dolphins are in the same family?SARS was a precursor to COVID. I remember we had to wear a mask and undergo a temperature check before we were allowed inside Toronto Western.
I think he means "precursor" like "similar thing that hit 20 years earlier" and isn't arguing that SARS-CoV-2 descended directly from SARS-CoV-1.Precursor? Do you mean virus from the same family in the same way that whales and dolphins are in the same family?
