Don't forget, in the past the regular season was also important for player bonuses. Score 50 goals, get an extra $500,000. I don't think think teams can offer bonuses anymore.
Much of Pacioretti’s (sic) pay this year was bonus based

Nylander was +4 last night.

Tavares sure doesn't look like a 34 year old.

With Knies being a RFA, some people on some local sports radio shows are wondering if other teams will make him a big offer the way St. Louis did to 2 young Edmonton Oiler players in the off season.

OEL's next point will be his 500th, and his next 2 goals will be his 150th.

McMann is probably Leafs best forechecker with his size and speed. He can also shoot. He didn't play last playoffs because he was injured. I'd say he was a key loss. He really should be playing on the 2nd line where Nylander can feed him rush chances as well but that weakens the 3rd line. There's no comparison between McMann and Holmberg. Holmberg is a 4th liner on a championship calibre team at best.

They could use Max P for the playoffs. He's big and probably their best hitter and has shown to work well with Tavares and Nylander. So it should be McMann or Max P playing on the 2nd line or a rotation of those 2 with 3rd line duties. Holmberg has gotta be just a placeholder for when Max P gets back.

It wasn't that long ago under Keefe that Jarnkrok was used in the top 2 lines at times.

Crazy stat line, Matthew Knies is the first Leaf to score 25 goals and have 150 hits or more in a season.
I love his play. He is our current day Bill Barber but with more physicality. I believe he is a restricted free agent. This is a guy that the Leafs need to secure for at least a 5 or 6 year contract. His offensive skills my not necessarily old up but for sure his physical dominance will not wain. Right now he is the prototypical power forward as per Barber, Ken Hodge, Wayne Cashman, Eric Stahl and Clarke Gillies.

Right now Laughton 24 looks like the former 24 Dewar.
Last game Tavares, Nylander, McMann played 3 minutes more than Matthews, Marner, Knies at even strength. The line of Laughton, Kampf, Lorentz played 2 plus minutes more than Robertson, Domi, Holmberg.
