Leafs Core four playoff stats :

Marner. 54 games. 49 pts. =. .91 per game

Matthews. 54. 47. =. .87

Nylander. 51. 40. =. .78

Tavares. 35 23. =. .66

If Marner is a poor playoff performer, what does that say about the other three ?


In contrast, McDavid has had 117 pts in 74 games for 1.58 per and

Draisaitl has had 108 pts in 74 for 1.46 per.

Hyman has had 49 pts in 53 as an Oiler for .92 per


No wonder the Oilers have been a lot more successful in the playoffs.

In the playoffs it's more than points per game, it's clutch scoring, how many game 7 winners or series-clinching goals have they had? One by John Tavares.

You have to have your core guys scorings to get to a game 7. Do you know how many game 7 winning goals has McDavid scored ? Correct me if I’m wrong, a quick search reveals the answer is “0” in 4 games. Does it mean McDavid is just as useless ? Using no game 7 scoring to attack a player is utmost absurdity imo.

--Stamkos resigning with Tampa is still a possibility. They wanted to get Guentzel signed and keep the details under wraps. If they don't sign Stamkos it appears Vegas will make a push for him to make up for the loss of Marchessault.

I don't know the answer but curious what his PPG was the last two or three playoffs.

Leafs PP was terrible in the playoffs. If they didn't get a D that could play on the PP there would be complaints. Klingberg's best season was 13 goals. OEL has had goal seasons of 23, 21, 15, 14, 14, 13. The plan obviously is to use him on the PP. How is he even close to being compared to Klingberg. The year prior to being acquired by the Leafs Klingberg played 17 games. Meaning he was injured. The year prior to Leafs acquiring OEL he played 80 games and scored 9 goals. For comparison the best on the Leafs was McCabe with 8 and the Leafs were a much higher scoring team than Florida.
