Not surprised, wouldn't be the first Muslim extremists attack the USA they killed almost 3000 a few years ago. Israel is doing a good job wiping them out. Next are the ayatollahs.

Hamas could be planning terror attacks on American soil - FBI

Mayorkas' speech highlighted the rapidly evolving global threat landscape and the potential consequences for the United States and its communities.

In testimony to the US House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, officials from the US Department of Homeland Security and the FBI warned about increased security threats following the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7.

Their testimony highlighted the rapidly evolving global threat landscape and the potential consequences for the United States and its communities.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas opened the testimony on a somber note.

“Already, in the weeks since the assessment publication, the world has changed after Hamas terrorists viciously attacked thousands of innocent men, women, and children in Israel on October 7, 2023, brutally murdering, wounding, and taking hostages of all ages,” he said.

The terrorist attack sent shock waves across the world, but it also had implications for the United States.

“Since this department’s inception, the threat landscape our department is charged with confronting continues to evolve,” Mayorkas said. “Although the terrorism threat in the United States has remained heightened throughout 2023, Hamas’s attack on Israel, along with other recent events, have sharpened the focus of potential attacks on targeted individuals and institutions perceived as symbolic of or tied to the conflict.”

FBI Director Christopher Wray highlighted the growing threats on US soil.

“While we work to assist our Israeli colleagues and understand the global implications of the ongoing conflict in Israel, we are paying heightened attention to how the events abroad could directly affect and inspire people to commit violence here in the homeland,” he said.

“Our top concern stems from lone offenders inspired by, or reacting to, the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, as they pose the most likely threat to Americans, especially Jewish, Muslim, and Arab-American communities in the United States,” Wray said.

Christine Abizaid, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said: “We continue to closely monitor, evaluate, and take appropriate actions with respect to potential threats to the United States in the wake of the 7 October Hamas attacks against Israel and the resulting regional tensions.”“Since 7 October, there have been increased threats to these communities worldwide, and some attacks and violent exploitation of protests, primarily driven by overall heightened tensions and individuals engaging in violent extremist attacks,” she said.Michael Masters, national director and CEO of Secure Community Network (SCN), said: “Today’s testimonies should be cause for vigilance, preparation, and communication, not fear or retreat.

We have seen historic increases in antisemitic threats and incidents. But this does not mean we will accept them. We will not tolerate hate, violence, or terror – nor should we resign ourselves to living less Jewish lives. Instead, we have the tools in place to empower the Jewish community in safety and security. These tools – from training to intelligence tracking to resources and guidance – are designed precisely to serve Jewish institutions in times like these.”SCN reported an unprecedented uptick in incident reports.“The 772 incident reports SCN logged in October marks the highest of any month in our nearly 20-year history, a 192% increase from October 2022,” its report said. There have been about 3,500 incident reports between January and October this year, SCN reported, surpassing the 2,551 incidents in all of 2022, SCN reported.

SCN said it was on pace to refer more than 800 individuals to law enforcement, outpacing last year’s total of 770, with 148 referrals in October alone. SCN said it had monitored more than 900 events in the US for escalation and violence.

It will be called a false flag op when it does happen.

Egypt is the humanitarian representative of Hamas? Who knew?!

Just so I understand your argument, Egypt somehow figured out exactly what Hamas was about to do, and exactly where they were going to do it, and even though Hamas directly attacked civilians as their target objective, and took no steps to preserve the lives of civilians they encountered, Egypt's clever guess puts Hamas on the same moral footing as the IDF attempting to clear clvilians out of combat zones? In what universe does that make any sense? On that logic, does it also make Hamas nice guys because they shoot rockets at Israeli citizens that are crappy enough to be intercepted?
Obviously you didn't read the article. Read it, then get back to me.

It's happening on both sides.

This is the predictable outgrowth of the successful Canadian multicultural mosaic that mandrill speaks so highly about.

The slaughter occurring in Gaza has made all of us less safe.
Right. I heard this afternoon on radio 680 that another Muslim institution received a bomb threat today, unless they were talking about the one at Bathurst and Ner Israel from yesterday. Crazies on both sides. :(

Thankfully both were false alarms.

If Islamic terrorists do attack the US they will be in for a rude awakening, much more so than what is happening in Gaza now.

As is much of North America, the US is majority Christian, and in the US there are a whole lot of Evangelical Christians.

As it is soon my birthday (fuck, another year older...), I received my annual birthday phone call from my brother's ex-wife. She is a devout Evangelical, End Of Times, Rapture style Christian.

She is totally incensed at how Israel has been treated, and believes that if the Messiah is to return (she believes it will be Jesus, who was a Jew, returning to carry out The Rapture), Israel must still exist as a Jewish nation.

First let me say that although I identify as a Jew by race, I am an atheist, and do not believe in God, Heaven, Hell, any sort of afterlife, and of course, Satan.

My ex-sister-in-law firmly believes that Allah is Satan, and not the Jewish and Christian Abrahamic God, and that Satan convinced Muhammad that he is God, and from that came all of Muhammad's intolerant & militant laws and teachings. She says her whole congregation is of the same belief.

There is nothing anyone can say that can change her mind on any religious issues, and I long ago gave up trying on most issues, including vaccines, etc.

So, long story short, any significant Muslim attack on North America, and especially the USA, will be met with a 9/11 response or much worse, and will make what is happening in Gaza seem like a day at the beach...
