Winning the EPL title with a whopping lead of 23 points to date.
Playing the most attractive football in the world.
Having a genius of a coach in Jurgen Kloop, who has made every player better, and whose enthusiasm is simply infectious.
And having the most spine-tingling fight song in football.
Not a supporter but an admirer.
Liverpool. Simply the best. Congratulations. You have done football proud.

I can't argue with those words, love watching 'Pool play, they have it all, skill toughness and the intangible.....the ability to win ugly if necessary. Quite a few British players as well. ;)

Yes Klopp is a genius when it comes to the right signings (Salah, Van Dijk, Becker),
too bad they didn't have Becker and Van Dijk against RM...
Hoping Minamino adapts and adjusts to the EPL soon, he has the skills and speed of Mane/Salah.

Klopp's signings were financed by the sale of Coutinho to Barcelona. The German turned into prophet when he told the talented Brazilian stay here and they'll build a statue of you, go elsewhere and you'll just be another player. Barcelona can't seem to offload him at a price they want, even Bayern Munich who he was on a loan with, didn't want to make the deal permanent.

There is much to admire in Liverpool, but they are the last English club I would evrr cheer for - memories of Haysel.

And they would have an even tougher time against Napoli than they had last fall. Napoli's defense has gelled under Gennario, they are a "heavy" club to play against. If they went with a three man defense, their back six would look like this: Meret, Koulibaly, Manolas, Di Lorenzo with Fabian Ruiz and Maksimovic as the holding midfielders. I could be wrong but they are almost impossible to break down.

Yes, very tough to break down, but can such a team go the distance and win the UEFA CL? that's the bottom line.

Prophetic indeed, and it rebalanced the team, I really thought their attack was even more potent with Coutinho around but he made the wrong choice,
even Neymar and other talented footballers would look like just another player when you see Messi running with the ball.

Hard to say, when the CL resumes they fave Barcelona. It partially depends on this guy.

Does the interpreter look terrified?

lol ?
wouldn't surprise me, he's the only player I know of to have slapped Zlatan (who's no shrinking violet either).
Gattuso slapped Zlatan? that is hilarious, as fun as the story that Roy Keane made Beckham cry in the dressing room one time.

Hard to believe but here goes. Regardless, he's just bad ass and bad news for attackers.
Controversies
In a UEFA Champions League group stage match against Ajax in September 2003, he was sent off during second-half injury time after slapping Ajax striker Zlatan Ibrahimović in the face with the back of his hand. His temper has caused him further problems...

There was a time Gennarino met his match, it was a case of tough love. He lost it completely and may have been suspended permanently for violence.

More in Serie A thread.

Went over to a buddy's backyard gazebo to watch the Man City v Liverpool Match. Unfortunately, his Roku played up and he had to hook up his Windows 10 Computer to his TV, that he was having issues with, including a stop / start movement. He tried everything including troubleshooting and adding software that improved the motion but made the picture fuzzier. I then gave him a very simple tip that resolved it, and we watched the game in Full 4K resolution.

That was a great win by Man City. They really are going out with a fight on their hands although Liverpool are the Champions. 4-0 and easily could have been 6 or 7-0.

Haven't seen Greenwood play but I remember when a teenaged Ryan Giggs gave the Azzurri fits in a qualification match for the 94WC. After that he didn't need to ask which way was up. Then I remember a 21 year old Gareth Bale doing the same thing to Inter in the 2011 CL. Both are from Cardiff.

Inter wanted to buy Bale but Conte nixed the deal. Conte and Zidane were team mates at Juve.

Trivia question.

The 1982 World Cup was the first to be broadcast nationwide in Canada. Carried by the CBC, it was an Italian-Canadian effort after the success of the satellite feed of the 78WC.

Who did the CBC hire as the matchday analyst? Hint: Dale Barnes, who was working for CHCH at the time, got a shiner for insulting West Germany.

My beloved Burnley won again yesterday 1-0 away to Wet Spam. we're now won 3, draw 1, lost 1 since restart. Comfortably placed mid table :) Not bad for a little town in Lancashire, competing on a shoe string budget with only 14 fit senior players. Next game is Saturday vs 'Pool, probably a loss.

Wet Spam??? Thats a jolly good one, mate :) I pay more attention to your beloved Burnley since you declared your allegiance. Great success story, that one.
Ya, it’s easy to support Man U, Citeh, Arsenal, Chelski et al, supporting Burnley takes work! Founding member of Football League in 1887, successful club late 50’s to early 70’s. Big $ came into the game, can’t compete, tumbled out of control down the divisions, had to win our final game in ’87 to avoid expulsion from Football League. Fought our way back slowly but surely, 7 years ago hired Sean Dyche as manager….eureka! The man is a genius, molded a bunch of journeymen into a TEAM, no ‘Billy Big Bollox’ on a Dyche team! Even has a local pub named after him, formerly ‘Princess Royal’ now named “Royal Dyche’. No ‘sugar daddy’ owner, local businessman made good, net worth circa 80 million quid, pocket change to the vast majority of owners. Unique pay scale as well, senior players all in similar pay bracket, but with attractive bonuses attached, something like a profit sharing scheme. Any continued success depends 100% on PL survival, each and every season the magic 40 point plateau is the primary goal. With Dyche at the helm and a little luck here and there, that’s do-able. Watched that game as well. Burnley were lucky to win against The Hammers. Thought that their goalkeeper made some real good saves to keep their lead intact. That was a very strange winner with that shoulder instead of a header. But all in all, an interesting game.
