Since Cito got back to Toronto last year his record is 70 W 47 L which works out to .598 and over 162 games that works out to 97 victories which will get you into the playoffs most years in AL East.

Re. tonight's game. Be interesting to see what Halladay can do. His record at Rogers Centre is vastly superior to what he does on the road. Kind of like a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde thing. Anyway, Cito needs him to chew up 8 innings because his bullpen is exhausted from over use. Reason why they lost Monday against Cleveland is that they could not use Scott Downs in relief because he had already pitched Fri, Sat and Sun.
When Tallet goes back to pen that will take a lot of stress off relievers.

Those numbers look good, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. We have only played 30 games.

The hitting is great, but I like the way they are running the bases and fielding. The pitchers have really held up well despite all the injuries, and the hitting has been clutch.

He didn't. JP did.
Interesting you mention JP. Not much "let's fire JP" talk these days ..... funny what a good start will do.

He's so good that every year after they won their last WS his record was worse than the year before. And then there were all those teams lining up to get him to run their teams.

But perhaps he did learn a few things so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and see.

The best thing Justin Speir ever did for the Jays was leave.
The Jays got Brett Cecil in the supplementary round 1A of 2007 draft as compensation for losing Justin Speir as a free agent to L.A. Angels after the 2006 season.
-----
Other tidbit:
Of all the contracts in MLB that teams own the one the Jays have with Aaron Hill has got to be the best.
He makes 3 million a year on a 4 year contract that expires at the end of 2011.
Then the Jays have a team option of renewing the contract for 3 more seasons till the end of 2014 for an additional 28 Million.
That's 7 years for 40 million or an average of 5.7 million a year.

Re. L.A. Angels game Weds night.
The Angels gave Jered Weaver an extra day of rest so that he wouldn't have to pitch against Roy Halladay. Weaver's last game was Friday last week.
Instead they put in a rookie making his 3 rd career start with predictable results.
Weaver will face Robert Ray Thursday night.

It works !
Mike Scioscia is smarter than Cito Gaston.
Cito Gaston is a piece of shit,no brain !
Why didn't Jays fired Brad Arnsberg ?
Robert Ray pitched a baseball like a child, send him back to AA.
What is a horrible defense, they played a ugly game !

Wow, what a performance by Weaver tonight. It was interesting hearing Goose Gossage's take on Manny with Jamie and Rance. Question for you guys, was it just me or was Sportsnet having some technical difficulties with their audio transmission during the game? What a luxury it is to have a guy like Chone Figgens. Like Jamie Campbell said "speed kills" his two runs were almost identical in nature in terms of how they were set up. Base hit, steal, errant throw from Barajas that allows Figgens to go to 3rd and then another Angel drives him in.

Kilgore Trout I know I"ve said it before but DAMN that girl is hot in your display picture.

Speaking of children...

Mike Scioscia is one of my all time favorite catchers.

However, the rest of your rant is just silly and shows that you don't know anything about team sports. Stick to gambling at Fallsview.

Downs did a good imitation of Ryan tonight. 4 hits and 3 runs.

Great game by Tallet though who only gave up 1 run, with 2 hits in 7 innings.

Jays back to winning (just).

So long as Downs does it with a healthy lead its no problem.
He seems to thrive when there's pressure and the game is on the line. Today that wasnt the case, so lets hope it was just lack of concentration

Scutaro is the only starting shortstop in the American League who has not made an error this season.

Re. Pitchers:
Casey Janssen and Ricky Romero are going to start at Double a New Hampshire on Tuesday and Wednesday next week and after that they are likely coming back to jays in starting rotation to take over from Robert Ray and Brett Cecil.

If Tallet keeps doing well in starting role, then when Litsch comes back in June he will likely go to the bullben in long and middle relief and Tallet will stay in starting rotation.

Yankees Phil Hughes got destroyed in first 2 innings of Yankee game against Orioles tonight:

It's always good news when Yankees have pitching problems.
Mariano Rivera is not pitching as well as he usually does either.
Yankee fans have been spoiled rotten for 15 years because they've had a great closer for so long; but, I hope he's starting to lose his touch or something.
