I think Berube is salivating at the opportunity to coach the offensive talent that the Maple Leafs have. It's a win win for both parties.I wonder if Mitch treated for the coffee......LMAO

This, I agree with. But please don't say that anyone is comparing Nylander to Gretzky.I recall all the the fans were Nylander haters when he held out for his first contract. Now they love him and hate Marner.
Be it in sports, politics or other social courts of public opinions, there’s a “monkey see, monkey do” tendency where some attention hungered individuals in the media would make up some baseless accusations against the target, others would blindly follow and repeat the same nonsense in their circles; sooner it would become phantom truth in their minds. They become the prosecutor, jurors and judge and the accused would have no chance to defend. Even many well educated people fall into the same trap and do not know how to apply critical thinking.I recall all the the fans were Nylander haters when he held out for his first contract. And many of them have a youtube channel voicing their ignorant opinions.[

I wasn't but you act like Nylander is a playoff stud based on a handful of games. Marner has had games like his in his first few playoff appearances. The team didn't advance. That's not the fault of just one player. This, I agree with. But please don't say that anyone is comparing Nylander to Gretzky.

Clearly you did accuse others of comparing Nylander to Gretzky. How can you possibly deny it? It's in black and white. Once again, try to embrace reality for the sake of your own credibility.Wow he scored 3 goals in a 4 game span and you act like he's Wayne Gretzky.
He did say he's an incredible playerBrad Marchand takes a shot at Mitch Marner.

Hey, I was one of them! Then one day something seemed to click and Willy was able to elevate his game.I recall all the the fans were Nylander haters when he held out for his first contract. Now they love him and hate Marner.
Do you want a player of his size getting injured banging against bigger more physical players.Hey, I was one of them! Then one day something seemed to click and Willy was able to elevate his game.
I was hoping that Marner would eventually become a grittier player, difficult to knock off the puck, nastier without taking stupid penalties.
He is a great talent, but in tight spaces he isn’t and he isn’t vicious enough to play in the post season war.
Agreed. Marner simply doesn't have the size or strength for a physical game. That's not a criticsm, just stating the obvious.Do you want a player of his size getting injured banging against bigger more physical players.
ZH hates Dubas, he didn’t even try to resign him. Hyman wanted to stay in Toronto too.Hyman in the Finals
14 goals in 18 games
cap hit 5.5 mill
He was the ideal forecheck, board guy and net front for Matthews.
Leafs are still searching. Bert was the latest iteration.
Some even thought Bunting was the guy ... not even close.
Gilmour did it in only 3 rounds. I would bet the others did it in 4 rounds.Thought I'd check out past playoff performances and Gilmour for the Leafs had 35 points in 93, coincidentally his jersey number. Only 4 players have bested 35 points and they are Gretzky, Lemieux, Coffey, Malkin. McDavid this season has 31 and counting but they are playing the defensive juggernaught Panthers in the Finals. Gilmour did it in 21 games. McD has played 18 and at least 4 more. Gilmour also scored 10 goals. McD currently has 5. The all time assist record is 31 by Gretzky. McD has 26 and counting. Lemieux's best is 28. Kucherov 27 and that's it.
Stop with the Marner blaming. Hyman plays with McDavid and Drasaitl.
