The leafs hired Mark Leach as head of scouting.

Apparently Leach has an impressve background. The last 11 years with Dallas, and 20 years with Detroit before that. 4 cup rings with the Red Wings. He was apparently in on some picks that paid off well.

Marlies signed Alex Nylander to a one-year AHL contract.
We'll see if he gets a big boy contract a year from now.
