It's just to point out how ludicrous all this hate of Nylander is.

Sure, Nylander turned away from Bogosian.
So what? I see it. It was a nothing play.
He didn't have the right line. Bogo had him lined up.
To skate towards the puck he would have been skating into Bogo before he could get to the puck coming from the other way. He was smart enough to recognize it. If he was skating in the same line as Bogo with Bogo behind him that would have been a different play.

Exactly, which proves the criticism is fair,
He underperforms consistently he gets criticized, he plays well consistently he gets big praise.
You can't argue with that.
I wouldn't discount the contract year concern, that would be a concern for any player.

My point was it was the right play.
Same way you missed the point when you thought I was criticizing Matthews

Nylander streak ends, 0 points.
His stock is dropping, he will have to ask for no more than 10.75M.
Looks like the beginning of a horrific slump, may have to take 4.5M

Knowing the Leafs luck, they can construct the team the be playoff-heavy and hit until the other team crawls but they still won't win the cup. Burke built the Leafs on size and truculence and they failed.
