He was pissed because 3rd goal of Seatle should have never happened. Just 5 second earlier there was a stick in the face of a Oilers player. The ref was right there and did not called it! I can't fucking believe it.

Is there some kind of curse to make sure no Canadian team makes it to the final?
yip, its call shitty and pretend to be blind referees in making a difference on the outcome of a game.

Winning, and inspiring strong confidence you will keep winning makes all the difference.
Florida = confidence, Leafs = total doubt since GM 1
Sidenote for bettors, I can't believe these betting sites are such odds scalpers, they are giving out 7:1 odds if the Leafs win 4 in a row. Come on man , I spit on that lousy 7:1 odds . . .

McCabe Brodie pairing has been on the ice for 6 even strength goals against and zero goals for including 2 game winners in round 2.
They'll be split up for game 4. Brodie will play with Holl and McCabe will play with Lili. Gio will be 7th D. He played only 6:43 even strength in game 3. Brodie played a whopping 26:40 total in game 3. Every other Leafs D played less than 21 minutes.
McCabe had 0:19 of PK time in game 3. Meanwhile Brodie and Holl had 3:30 and 2:55 respectively.

The writing is on the wall - this team is exceptionally unlikely to make it out of R2 barring a modern-day miracle. That said, this is Keefe's fourth year as coach. Consistently getting the most out of the talent he's given, and outcoaching opposing coaches in real time is his mandate. He's a failure on both counts. On that basis, I can't see any really compelling reason he should stay. The team's performance, consistency and overall success is not significantly better than when he started, and this post season he was provided what was considered by management as upgrades that he was supposed to leverage to help this team move not only beyond the first round, but deep into the later rounds. He simply hasn't got the job done. Everyone knows Dubas' story. I'd be very surprised if they offered him anything more than another low-ball, short term offer. Easy out for the Leafs and Dubas himself...win-win politically and PR-wise. After that, with new people in the captain's chair I would expect the necessary trades will begin.
You are correct.

In today's NHL there is enough talent in the league to spread around. The majority of the teams that made the play-offs had that chance to win it all, because they have highly skilled individuals on those teams.

The difference is in the coaching. How the players are prepped before each game, how they are treated, culture in the dressing room, psychology, etc. During the game it is which coach is better able to match their talent against the other coaches talent, how lines are managed, how to motivate players, when to recognize who is on their "A" game, etc.

Toronto has simply been out coached. Toronto has a shit load of individual talent. It is just not being coached properly.

since every game was tied 2 to 2 at one point I would expect game 4 to be 2 to 2 and then ...

I have got a kick out of watching Blue Jay road games from Seattle in the past few years. At times it actually sounded like a Jays home game. Not only do Jays fans from B.C. go, but Jays fans from Alberta and Saskatchewan also attend. I think the Seattle organization was quite embarassed by it.
On the topic of Embarrassing, how must the Vancouver Canucks feel watching the Seattle Kraken just 3 hours south of them possibly going to the Conference Final in just their Second year of existence ? The Vancouver Canucks have existed for 53 seasons and all they have to show for that are 3 Stanley Cup Final appearances with Zip championships. And Seattle is flirting with a Conference Final appearance in just their second season.
Now that is Truly embarrassing for Vancouver and disgusting.

So much negativity on the Fan590 about this team today.

Expectations are extremely low....Have to believe that with the talent level that they have they will win tonight.

But that's a lot of pressure to put on a rookie goaltender isn't it?

This whole organization is on the brink of a major upheaval....

Look.... the NHL Expansion Draft rules were flipped on their head in 2017 to justify the cost the league imposed on the Golden Knights to enter the league, and the new draft rules ensured success right off the hop. The goal was to not create another brand new franchise that struggles for years as was usually the case, and for Vegas to create success in their new market immediately.

The Golden Knights became the most successful first-year franchise in league history and reached the Stanley Cup Final their first year of existence.

The Seattle Kraken had the same advantage and are now showing great success as a second-year club.

The Vancouver Canucks did not have the advantage of the current expansion draft rules.

If the Toronto Maple Leafs had been in the Stanley Cup Final in 1982, 1994 and 2011 like the Canucks were, it would not be viewed as "embarrassing and disgusting".
The CBC, TSN and Sportsnet staff were doing backflips when the Leafs won a single playoff round last week.

The Leafs narrowly escaped elimination by beating the Panthers 2:1. Marner and NYlander each scored a goal. Still no goals by Matthews and Tavares. Back to Toronto for next game. Wish them luck. Regardless, I hope they get rid of Sheldon Keefe Kyle Dubas.
