The convoy was camped out in multiple spots in Ottawa for 3 weeks but a 15 minute walk is too far?
Is it a different, strange time zone in Ottawa where 15 minutes there is different from 15 minutes anywhere else on the planet?
It is funny how people from Toronto try to discuss our life in Ottawa. Yes, 15 minute walk is way too far in Downtown Ottawa if you are going south. Even if you start at the northern point of DT (where the protest was) it is more than half-way to 417. It is not a downtown anymore - it is a centre town with a mixture of low-rise apartment building, cafes, and crappy 2-story houses changed into apartments. Noone ever protest there. Protesters were on Wellington street and 2-3 streets South of it: traffic on Laurie ave was as usual. And nothing ever happens south of Somerset (except bad Asian massage). So, stop trying to attach irrelevant events to demonstration and talk about Ottawa using your Toronto standards. The everlasting road construction on Elgen street bough more traffic problems than protests on Wellington street.

Why are you trying to stop other peoples' freedom of expression? I thought you convoy supporters were all about protecting our rights?

Watching the presser today with Trudeau, Freeland and gang. They are being way too vague about when they are ending use of the financial tools. They are saying it could be up for months and continue to be "pre-emptively used". No end date therefore to the Emergency Act.

If you're at parliament you can either walk to the market, off to Bank street or go past the NAC for coffee/food.
Bank/Queen area is closest but its likely too corporate and I expect everything shut down for the anti vaxxers.
The market is too cool for people with upside down Canadian flags.
So that means you're left walking a bit further to Somerset find a coffee shop that will will risk their Ottawa business for a couple of weeks of street shitters.
I wasn't there, but have family who are and have worked there enough over the years.
15 minutes will get you to the market or your coffee shops vs 6 minutes to get to the closed corporate spots downtown.
