Ya think?
Could Hutch start without spotting the other team between 3 runs?

Sure Drew has a good record, but the Jays have to win a slug-fest it seems when he's pitching. He does much better at home, so hope the first inning was the end of the twins derby.

Three Jays who make me nervous are Hutchison, Cecil and Loup.
I was really surprised neither Loup or Cecil got demoted after we scored Hawkins, Lowe......etc.

Anywho, lets hope Hutch can make us feel better tonight :)

Some say that a pitcher's win/loss record determines their worth.
Nope, people say thats PART of a pitchers worth. ERA, WHIP........etc are the other parts.

You're the one who keeps insisting a W/L has little or no worth

Can a pitcher control how many runs his team scores?

Hutch seems determined to steal defeat from the jaws of victory.
Hopefully he's not out for the 6th.
I'd rather have Liam Hendriks in the starting rotation.

....

I'd feel a lot better if they just let Smoak do first base chores when Edwin isn't playing there.

Colabello has been just spectacularly awful out there in the field tonight, - already botched two plays at first base.
Should have two errors; but, Donaldson gets charged for an error on a play Cola should have made.

I told you already Costanza, how much runs a team scores evens out over one or many more seasons.

Oh dear Hutch :-(

Can you show some statistics to support that claim ?

Colabello should not be fielding with Smoak and EE available. I don't know why Gibby played him at 1B and not Eddie.

My thoughts exactly! He should be charged with both errors, that throw from Donaldson was not a difficult play. Kawasaki isn't doing anything, his job should be to hide Colabello's glove.

Can you shut the fuck up and stop pretending you somehow know more than what traditional statistic keepers have known over the last 100+ years??!!

But keep thinking you're edgy dude by claiming W/L records dont mean anything

It would be even better if you were the one to shut the fuck up. Your dribble is annoying. You are wrong more than you are right. You rarely if ever back up your inane remarks.

You seem (I'm not sure) but you seem awfully angry, about a baseball discussion on the internet.
Random, unnecessary anger....isn't that one of the signs of 'Roid Rage?

Now, to address the rest of your statement.
Perhaps part of the problem is the use of statistics that have been kept for over 100 years.
Newer, advanced statistics show much more about the true worth of a pitcher
than simply their won/loss record.
It truly is not that important.
Useless? No, but way down on the list of things to use to find value in a pitcher.

I'd guess you think +/- is a very important statistic in hockey.

Matt Boyd, another pitcher that went to Detroit in the Price deal had a great start tonight.

So you're gonna go along with GCostanza on the record that a pitchers Wins/Losses dont mean anything??!

Sorry, but thats taking stupidity to a whole other level.
Yes, a W/L record doesnt tell the whole story, but it sure as heck is still an important stat

] I didn't say a word about the W/L. Read gcostanza's last post on the matter then if you have an intelligent comment to make, make it. I hope you are not as stupid as AK is and maybe you will actually post something on here that is interesting and helpful.
