Still 5.5 back of the Yankees. Hope to close some ground before the Jays play the Yankees 13 times.
The Yankees are playing unconscious right now 19-8 since July 1. However they have lost Pineda for the remainder of the month. But they have called up young fireballer Luis Severino to take his place. He's 9-2 between AA/AAA with a 2.45 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. Only 21 yrs old so we'll see. He makes his debut tonight.

I don't really care if we catch the Yanks or not, I just want to make the playoffs. It's been far too long with no post season in this city.

Here
Hey AK-47...

Paisan, you are polluting this thread again!

Curb your enthusiasm because you are sounding rash and foolish and it gets very difficult for those of us that want intelligent conversations to ignore nonsense !

Its not nonsense, I spent half my life in gyms, I know what steroids look like. Most of that Yankee team looks suspicious to me, starting with A-rod

Maybe A-roid introduced his teammates to his favourite dealer?

AK actually has a point, I've noticed the Yankees have beefed up considerably in the off-season.
Does that mean they all take steroids, who knows. But I'm 99% sure Arod still takes them.

There are all kinds of way to get arond steroid tests, beta-blockers are one way and timing your cycles is another

I guess since you've previously said you were grossly overweight, gyms and steroid use is beyond your comprehension
Actually I didn't say grossly overweight. But thanks for the very cheap shot LOL. I actually would guess that I spend more time in gyms than you do. If you want to agree with AK's statements that they Yankees as a group are using steroids that's fine. That's as much a commentary on your intelligence as making fun of someone's weight. I guess we can't all be beautiful like you apparently think you are LOL.

Not sure about the Yankees being a bunch juice users, but I do wonder how A-Rod is producing at such a high level on reconstructed hips. That they didn't go after Price tells me that they are changing their strategy, CC Sabathia's contract has something to do with that. When the Yankees won four WS in the late 90's most of those players came from within, they are hoping to repeat that formula.

In 2010 - 11 Jose gave out several random urine samples, I wonder if they are currently that stringent?

Actually, its your intelligence thats suspect for at least not keeping an open mind a lot of these Yankees might be juiced (including Arod)

A lot of players on any MLB team might be juicing.
Easy to throw out wild accusations with no proof or reasonable suspicion (thinking someone is juicing is not reasonable suspicion).

If a lot of Yankees are on PED's, why has no baseball (or other) journalist with 1 gram of credibility been pounding the drum about it?

Have any of terb's Crack Squad of PED Investigators uncovered a clue or two?
Or, is it possible that gosh darn it, there's a lot of really good ballplayers who are playing well on that New York Yankees ball club?

They MIGHT be juiced. They also might be a lot of things-they could be racists, they could be wifebeaters, they could be pedophiles, they could all be crossdressers in their private lives. I just don't think I should state that I think that's the case just because they are playing better baseball than the Blue Jays. Which team, btw, has more players who have had significant increases in homerun totals from one year to another, Toronto or New York? I think you could make a pretty good argument for Toronto being the team that seems a little suspicious, but I don't think that's the case.
I'm not worried about people thinking my intelligence is suspect because I don't make unfounded accusations, and I'm not worried about people thinking my intelligence is suspect because I choose not to make comments like your original gym comment. However, I will accept that poeple may question my intelligence because I choose to respond to idiots at times.

Ummm…you make fun of costanza for nitpicking? I guess you have one talent that I don't have LOL. I would rather be able to quote properly on TERB than have intelligence too, but I guess we all have our crosses to bear. BTW, would it be accurate to say that IQ-47 doesn't know how to ignore properly LOL ?

No thanks busternut, I'm not one to underestimate anyone's intelligence/abilities. Not a good way to go through life. A-Roid a crossdresser, that's a new one. He does have purtty lips.

Sure AK has a faccia di sciaffi but it's not right to call him an idiot. It's a cheap way to score points.

That Hutchison has got to be the luckiest pitcher in history of the Blue Jays.
I hope they go to Schultz in the bullpen soon.
Hutchison's fastball seems too flat and if you've got no movement on your fastball mlb players will kill you.
His fastball is always up in the zone, seldom any sink to it at all.

Ya think?
Could Hutch start without spotting the other team between 3 runs?

Sure Drew has a good record, but the Jays have to win a slug-fest it seems when he's pitching.
Some say that a pitcher's win/loss record determines their worth.
