I think he means well, but you gotta always be skeptical of cults of personalities like Elon or Trump. They are almost always scumbags.
Even if you don't think Elon is politically motivated, the Twitter takeover is being touted as such by his fans and by the right wing.
Apple isn't pitching its awful policies as some kind of blow for freedom.
Zuckerberg seems to have some political ambitions, but he has no constituency. He may still try to run just based on having more money than most, but someone with such shit chemistry probably isn't going very far.
Also, his business practices are pretty shit and I suspect lots of people would have problems with him if he tried to get into the spotlight.

I just remember at the time getting into discussions with you because it seemed obvious that you were assigning the wrong colors to Trump and Hillary given the descriptions of the colors you gave.
No idea. I wasn't the one who thought the system was useful, I just thought your own assessment of the criteria you put out was wrong. (I also thought the system was pretty screwy since it really looked like a way to pitch to people that they were "more evolved" and "more enlightened" than others.

You have the right actively banning books, demanding to rewrite school programs to indoctrinate people, and demanding that people agree with them or violence is necessary, and you somehow think someone criticizing someone in their family for having views that person thinks are shit is the real danger.
That basically everything you say you dislike is being done by the side you support is something I wish you could get past your ideological blinders and see but it really doesn't seem like it will happen.
The closest I can think is that you think anyone disagreeing with you is an attack and therefore you have to support authoritarianism in order to prevent people from making you feel bad.

I don’t know anyone on the right who supports banning the left. I know many people on the left who cut off family and friends because they support conservative views.

So you believe and have witnessed either online or IRL the right is more extreme and I have witnessed the other. So who is right? Your sources tell you the opposite while the ones I see tell the the other is happening.
Maybe if we figure out how to accept each other’s differences and find a way to work it out would be better for all. I have always said the msm want to turn us against each other, want to tribe us and they do this to appease their advertisers and investors who make users of social media into a product. If we are busy fighting against each other we miss the big issues like SBF and who knows what else is happening.

Really? An LGBTQ person or a trans person may cut off family and friends who are anti-trans or anti-LGBTQ. Similarly, a religious parent may cut off and disown an LGBTQ child. Its happened and continues to happen.

Each pretty much have the same arguments regarding "freedoms", while actively denying the other said freedoms. It also depends which group says things that are politically advantageous for you. An LGBTQ person has no choice other than to support the woke left, cuz the right will not stand for their freedoms. Similarly, a conservative religious white guy will have no choice than to side with the right wing. If people generally agreed on live and let live, and agreed to make cultural changes as necessary with the times, we wouldn't have this divide.
