Elon doesn't care about humanity. Saying he cares about humanity really only means one thing - do things that stoke his ego, and be known as some sort of visionary saviour. Both of which he is not. How can you say you care about humanity while not giving a shit about people around you? What exactly has he accomplished to benefit humanity? Literally zilch. Twitter allows or in theory should enable people to have access to find the truth and sometimes in real time. This is how it was in the early 2010s before people understand how to control it.

Buying Twitter apparently accelerated plans for x.com by a few years or something similar based on his input into this. Not sure what that really entails. Twitter can train his neural net, dojo, AI, and hopefully integrate well with the Tesla bot human companion, and Twitter and neuralink. If everything works out Tesla robots will be doing most of the work people do now where people will not have to work according to him and grimes on countless occasions. Maybe Twitter helps train the robots so they become more human like. Not sure how doable that is or if this means new jobs will be created like in the entertainment field and arts.

This is what will happen. Not a trivial solution and probably as complicated as sending rockets to the moon and how to implement effectively. Like if you live in one country and they are super strict with crazy laws can you just use vpn or leave the country or does your point of registration/verification govern. However in theory the idea is good. Also how to deal with changing laws. They deserve all the respect if they can figure this out.

Maybe, but I doubt it.
There is no way he can automate it so he would have to pay lots of people to moderate if he wants to do it actively.
I mean, it's not a bad moderation guideline, but it won't stop people complaining or anything, since so much of it would be a straight up judgment call.
If that's his only policy, he would have to stop banning all the people making fun of him and all the parody accounts.
I don't think he is ready to do that.

Looks like his more aggressive content moderation may have paid off, although it is hard to say whether or not that is due to people leaving the platform and there just being fewer posts overall.

Now, if his sense is that supporters of conservative candidates were hit by TOS violations more than others - it is possible that is true.

This is simple. Just block them and follow the sources you trust. This should be your choice. They should not take away your choice.

The problem is he wants to be "the town square".
If you just want anyone to say anything you have Gab and Parler and Truth Social already.
You have lots of places to go.

But when you don't moderate, you end up with a tribal takeover of the space by the worst actors. This is a known thing and it has been going on since fucking usenet.
All decent spaces for conversations have moderation.

If he wants it to be more than just niche, he will need to moderate Twitter.
"Just block everyone you don't like" is fine, but it means people will drift off to go somewhere they don't have to be constantly blocking people.
