I'm not sure if you're confused, lying or gaslighting... or you simply see what you want to see.

It was Vance who politely told Zelensky that arguments and bickering are reserved for "behind the closed doors" and not in front of the media.
No the yelling started, when Zelensky cut in and asked "Can I ask you something" and then proceeded to educate Vance on why "diplomacy" with Russia was not going to be trustworthy.
He was trying to indicate that not just Ukraine, but the US, cannot trust Putin. Without saying those words.
But Trump and Vance are inexperienced idiots and couldn't read between the lines and started browbeating him with their pedestrian twitter talking points.

Like Elon wore a cheap, ill fitting jacket over HIS t-shirt to the White House? Looks like a Value Village jacket that the old red velvet wallpaper steak houses used to keep around for those who didn't know they needed a dinner jacket to hear Frank Sinatra and eat garlic bread?

I did notice President Musk's son X-pi R squared was wearing a suit and tie (that appeared to be bought for him by his mom!) when he told VP Trump to shush his mouth and reminding him that he is NOT the President :ROFLMAO:

Zelensky doesn't want to negotiate a ceasefire. Why?
Also Trump should demand full financial transparency. No more funding until Zelensky presents his financial records from just before the war started to the present. Wonder if his net worth went up as much as Turdeau's?
The moment there's a ceasefire and war ending, Zelensky's political career is over.

When was the last time we saw any Western leader act like this? No idea.

US politics I think has hit a new historic low. The Democratic Party has effectively collapsed as nothing more than controlled opposition and the GOP has no solid policy, or direction. It's literally a day to day, what the hell will happen next shitshow.

My prediction it will get worse before it gets better is coming true. The hubris of the Oligarchs is coming to the fore. Especially the Tech ones. Amazing how only a few years ago they were woke Democrats and now they see a clear opening and are taking it.

I'm really glad right now I reordered things in my life to secure things up. Rough times are clearly coming. Europe has a very tough choice to make. We shall see whether they will step up now. Because barring a complete capitulation by Zelensky(unless this is a ploy to try to get the Ukrainian parliament to remove him for some reason) Ukraine will not survive.
Don't agree. Russia is a burned out wreck of 140M people. Europe has 500M and is rich. And at least the front line states of Scandinavia, the Baltics and Poland will fight. And that's enough to win - easily - unless the Poo goes nukes.

And he won't because his family and those of his ollies all live in London.

Her shit show would have been different. She would have have overseen the continued proxy war in Ukraine. No chance at a peace deal, billions spent. And Americans not happy about it.

I agree very different trade dynamic. But the economic decline due to an inflated stock market, inflated real estate market, and coming recession would have occured. We would still see American subsidiaries laying off Canadian workers, and reduced trade as a result.

I can't predict the Gaza situation, but I think it would have turned out about the same. Syrian collapse occurs. Support about the same. Bibi would have done the same.

Harris would have been weak on foreign policy. I think she would not have been running things nearly as much as you think.

Essentially Ukraine needs Europe to fully step up. American opinion has turned on foreign wars. It was her stance in this that was partially the cause of her loss. So the point is moot. She lost because voters didn't want her. Don't blame voters for outcomes, or anonymous posters on pooner boards. Blame the candidates.

Observations are not outcomes.
I will ask you again,

So Harris would have turned on the US's allies, come after Canada, back up Russia and attempt to rob Ukraine of it's minerals for nothing in return? Okay bud, just admit you were wrong for constantly supporting the Repugs under Trumputin over the Dems .
I know you cannot answer my questions honestly because you would be admitting for the last 4 years you fucked up.

May be Zelensky should make that mineral deal with the EU, in return for security guarantees and ditch the US altogether
The military aid that the EU can offer is nowhere strong enough to beat Russia.
Z needs US funding, and even then the war appears to be a stalemate with all the aid they're getting from USA/EU

I am deeply ashamed to share a border with a country whose leadership has sunk to such depths. America's credibility, already at an all-time low, has now plummeted even further. Trump and Vance acted like a pack of hyenas, pressuring Zelenskyy into accepting a bad deal that serves only their own interests. Their actions show no regard for Ukraine, global stability, or even the well-being of America itself.

The heated exchange between Trump, Vance, and Zelenskyy was not only unnecessary but blatantly undiplomatic. This incident is yet another example of how Trump has reduced American politics to a circus. Zelenskyy arrived at the White House expecting to sign a natural resources agreement and receive assurances of continued U.S. support. Instead, the meeting ended in a shouting match, with Trump and Vance effectively telling him to either concede Ukrainian territory to Russia or lose American backing altogether.

Their behavior only reinforces their status as Putin’s “useful idiots.” I can only hope this moment leads to mass defections from the MAGA movement, a decline in Mar-a-Lago membership, and a collapse in sales of Trump’s merchandise. Perhaps this will finally be the breaking point, I am not sure since I’ve underestimated MAGA loyalty before.

King Charlie should send a message of disapproval to Trump by cancelling his upcoming visit to Buckingham Palace.

Do you see Trump as being more aligned with Russia, China, Iran, and N. Korea than previous allies including Canada?

Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble get into an irate screaming match with Zelensky in Oval Office

Except the Putin bullies were the only ones who raised their voice. Zelensky did not raise his voice and was respectfully correcting the inaccuracies and misapprehensions spewed by Vance then Trump jumped in.

Which is why the EU needs to step up.
And I think they will.
A couple of days ago the new Chancellor of Germany indicated the same.
I think the EU should form an European military alliance that includes Ukraine.
They are already an economic union that should probably expand into a military alliance as well.

Agreed.

I also think Zelensky was performing for the American press.
It likely won't change the Administration's policy.
It will however strengthen his standing back home.

I've said since 2023 there will be a deal that will be unsatisfactory to many. Zelensky will have to look like he fought for a better deal.
Last time I checked, Zelensky seemed to be pretty popular back in the U. Not sure that he was the one doing the "performing".

Remember Minsk 1 and Minsk 2??? Ukrainian army was losing badly and needed a breather, but never made good on any promises or obligations. Merkel later admitted that Ukraine and EU never intended to honor those deals.

There were multiple peace negotiations but all of them failed. The last peace deal was nearly a done deal in Turkey in 2022. Boring Johnson came to Ukraine and said NO, you fight on.

Zelensky doesn't want peace and likely sabotaged today's meeting on purpose.

Here are some interesting comments from a former Ukrainian minister. He seems like a straight shooter and a Ukrainian patriot. I'm sure the usual gaggle will want to besmirch him because he doesn't completely and unconditionally share their view.

Dozens of nations have trustworthy relations with Russia and excellent diplomatic relations. The fact that Zelensky came here after agreeing to sign an agreement then went off the rails is instructive.

Zelensky just gave Trump a golden ticket. Now Trump has the optics to shut down all aid to Ukraine, turn up the heat on the investigation into the money laundering, and negotiations with Putin just got easier. This was a massive turning point for public perception of Ukraine, and I’d argue we are now closer to peace, now that Trump no longer has to worry about being seemingly supportive of Ukraine. He can come to terms with Putin, and Zelensky will remain at the kid’s table while the adults determine his fate. Today, the veil was lifted.
I like how you can see from Mitch's manic reposting of the official party line that this is primarily about optics so they can do what they already wanted to do.

Well the EU did very little for Ukraine when Biden was in power, so hopefully the EU will step up??
