The US should follow its long established traditions of supporting Europe and adhere to its stated obligation of supporting Ukraine "till the end".
Even if that was from a prior administration because it reflects on US credibility.

China? Russia? Iran? North Korea?
Even disregarding America's stated obligations to Ukraine, this move by the Trump Administration, shows no forethought into how this might affect prospects for the US in the future and alienates all its allies.

And yeah the countries that have good relations with Russia are ones like Iran and North Korea. (I am ignoring China and India because the US has larger trade relations with those countries than Russia does).
Because there is no guarantee on what happens if Russia attacks them again. Just like with Israel/Palestine, you can still get attacked/struck in a ceasefire.
It's a deal with tons of holes in it.
