The kid has started 3 games and you see a pattern?

Scrivens stole the last game for the Leafs and he is the blatantly obvious starter for tonight....
...and the foreseeable (Reimer injury) future.

Leafs are NOT a true first place team)
Actually, their winning percentage is only 5th best in the east. Pitt, Wash, NYR, and Buff all have earned higher points per game than Toronto.

Somewhere
Also they are the only team in top 12 who has let in more goals then they have scored
Well, their 2 games against Boston totally didn't help with that issue...

I guess the coach hasn't lost faith in Scrivens, he's in tonight.
Send Scrivens back to the Marlies before he is ruined beyond repair.

I now cannot avoid it or ignore it any longer. In my opinion Wilson has to go .... ASAP. A good coach he may be, but he is just not, and never was, quite prepared for the media circus that surrounds hockey here in Toronto.

I said before and I will say it again. I believe Reimer is concussed and will be out for a while yet. Even if it is really whiplash, that can be almost as bad.
If they do not go get a goalie this season's playoff hopes are out the window. It is only a matter of time. Nothing would make me happier to be wrong in this opinion.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha:eyebrows:

Now on to some actual business...........
Interesting to listen to Milbury completely throw Dave Feschuck of the Toronto Star under the bus tonight during the 2nd intermission for Feschuck phoning Reimer's mother and asking her opinion on her son's relationship with the Leafs organization and the writing an article "Latest of ‘several’ concussions worries Reimer’s mom". All the other participants on the hotstove (Ron MacLean, Eric Francis, Eliot Friedman) basically jump down Milbury's throat complaining that a reporter can do whatever they want to do. Milbury points out that Feschuck's actions in calling a players mom is over the line and basically cowardice. I have to agree with Mad Mike. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockeynightincanada/hotstove/video/#id=2167059945

yup watched that with interest too (it was better than that shit game) calling a players mother....give me a break...at least use the source as "informed" or something similar.
Maybe the Star's readership is so low they didn't think anyone would see it.

Sorry, what is this about? Who is calling whose mom by what name to do what?

The honeymoon is over for the Leafs this season. They played a soft schedule at the start of the season and were able to amass some wins against weaker teams. They have now lost 3 of the last 4, and are back to reality.

The Leafs’ biggest problem is in the offense. It is clearly evident that against disciplined defensive, checking teams, they could not generate much scoring threats.

If the Leafs are serious about making the playoff, Burke and Wilson should also consider playing more of a trap. They just don’t have the talents – offensively, defensively and at goal to play the free-wheeling, gun-slinging style of hockey that they have done since Wilson came on board.

Some short term goalies I would consider.

Cory Schneider(25), Van, $900,000 ... doubt they would part with him right now.
Mathieu Garon(33) TB, $1,300,000
Evgeni Nabokov(36) NYI, $570,000 ... probably the most available.
Al Montoya(26) NYI, $601,000 ... maybe
Jose Theodore(35) Fla, $1,500,000 ... two veteran goalies in Florida, I am sure one could be moved
Scott Clemmensen(34) Fla, $1,200,000 ... they must have a young guy they would like to try out.

Did you read the article ? I just did .. It't not like Dave was calling Riemer's mom to get dirt .. He was calling Reimer's mom to see how worried she is about her son's medical condition .
Dave Feschuk called Reimer's mom to ask her if she was worried about her son's condition ..
Oh I do not know ... it could be the Leafs did not want details of previous injuries to get out, and more likely would like to keep his current situation just a Leaf matter.

This is what it is going to come to, reporters calling 'home' to get dirt on past issues, because you know the next time(s) it will not stop at injuries.

" I myself " don't give a crap what the Leafs want .... Reporters have a job to do .... As a fan I want the truth not what the team wants us to hear ... You can look no further then the news to see what happens when teams want to keep things in house ie Penn State ... Is it secert that Reimer has a conscussion ? No ...

It's called investigated reporting ... I read the article and think it's less about hockey and more about how a injury effects family members ... It's not like Kabrele's dad who talked about his son's realationship with his son ... This isn't a reporter trying to pick up dirt on a organization ... The reporter isn't asking if she likes how the Leafs are taking care of the issue ... He isn't asking weather Reimer is happy about MLSE medical staff ... He isn't trying to get dirt ..

What this is new .... Sid's dad has been asked to talk about his son ...

"Not at all," Troy Crosby, from his Halifax, Nova Scotia, home, told ESPN. "We're just trying to get him healthy again. However long that takes, that's how long it's going to take."

Last Season ...

Burke: No concussion for Grabovski after crushing Chara hits ...

This summer ...

More than six months after the initial incident, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovsky admitted to Yahoo!’s Puck Daddy blog that he might have suffered a concussion after a brutal hit from Boston’s Zdeno Chara
Like you said "Who gives a crap" what you want.
Leafs are not forcing Reimer to do anything, even skate. They ARE taking their time with him. Reimer is an adult and if he chooses not to tell his mother the extent of his injury to the best of his knowledge that is a family matter.

My point was that the Leafs, along with every other NHL team, like to keep a players health status within the organization. You must have heard the terms 'upper body' and 'lower body' to describe injuries.

You want the truth ? (lol There is a joke in there somewhere)
Who fucking cares what you want.
Do you think the team is holding a healthy player back ?
How will it improve the situation if everyone knows the exact extent of the injury ?

My knowing the exact nature of Reimer's injury, or any player's injury, will not help him back any sooner.

Can you post or have a debate without " swearing " good god ... Please ignore my posts and I will ingnore yours ... Your the only poster that feels the need to debate my posts and can't do it without swearing ...

All I said that the article is more of a human interest story ie is Remier mom's worried about his son ... We all know the guy has a concussion type injury ... It was on the TV ... Guy hits goalie in head and goalie out ... We didn't learn that from his mother ....

Lets get this clear and it's quite okay ... I can't stand you Ironhead but thats okay cause you feel the same and I am find with that ... Feel free to ignore me ...
lol ...
Are you really this much of a fuckin' pussy in other aspects of your fuckin' life ?
Swearing ? You are aware of the FACT that we are on an adult forum ? In fact, one that promotes prostitution(not that I am against that, but a fact is a fact). It maybe the fuckin' sports wing, but it is still a fuckin' adult site you understand.
Coincidentally it has a lot more to do with, all together now, 'fucking' then it does with sports overall.

Again, this is getting tiresome, the Leafs, LIKE EVERY OTHER NHL TEAM, like to keep injury reports in house.
Human interest story ? Reimer is an WELL PAID athlete on a sports team, he is not curing cancer.
I, being a Leaf fan, want to know how he is doing more so then you, I am sure, but I respect the Leafs want to keep his injury information from other teams.
I did not know he had a concussion in junior. I learned that from his mother.

I do find myself on the opposite side a lot when it comes to the views you have, however I respect that you have your own opinion. You do not bother me personally.

Now there is one thing that comes to mind at the moment that you do that ... hmmm ... how shall I put this, irks me a little.

I can't stand you Ironhead but thats okay cause you feel the same
You are aware that there is supposed to be two letters before 'cause' I hope ? You are attempting to use the slang term of 'because' which is 'cuz'. The way you spell it has a different meaning, but I, along with most other people, figure out what you mean.

Finally, I am curious, why has it come to the point(and you are not alone in the feeling) that you 'cannot stand me' ?
Is it because I question your view a fair amount ?
Do you feel you should be above anyone having the right to question you ?
I always felt you were looking for other opinions, or do just want people to think that ?

Swearing loses its effectiveness if overused.

A lazy person swears, rather than using a word that more accurately describes what they're acually feeling.

Leaf have a weak first five or so minutes and it cost them. They manage to grab a point though.
Kessel scores to maintain his NHL lead in goals and points.
Scrivens was great in the third and OT.

The Leafs might as well get rid of Gustavsson ASAP. Actually I would think they are trying to move him. There will not be many takers. I kind of hope no one takes him and he stays in the organization with the Marlies and see what we got in a couple of seasons.

As soon as Burke makes a trade for another goalie, I am sure Gustavsson will be sent down, followed by Scrivens when Reimer returns.

Nashville tonight.
Scrivens starts. Connolly and Franson are in, but MacArthur and Grabovski are out.
A Kessel hattrick would be nice tonight.
