I;ve been wearing double mask, one 3 ply and a designer cloth one on top and have never ever had an issue. Shopping, elevators, tight quarters with a room full of people and in contact with covid postive folks who I did have to get tested and quaratine for and until 11 am when I get my first jab today I've been good. Cover your nose and mouth with as little to no gaps, keep a reasonable distance if possible and you will be fine.

The fact is that the virus will get in from the openings around the mask if you are close to an unmasked selfish POS. There is strong evidence that the transmission through the eyes is occurring as well so that eye protection should be considered.
People wearing masks that are not form fitted N95 masks are supposed to be doing it to protect others in theory but in reality are wearing the masks for what they believe is self protection which has shown to be a flawed argument.
We have never disputed the fact that this deadly virus is airborne and everyone should try to have a proper mask protection including a N95 one as well as if possible a second mask or a face shield.Awesome!! Its great that you agree with me

I found this study very interesting and optimistic at the same time
If "there really isn't much benefit to the 6-foot rule", then he is admitting that there is a benefit to the 6 foot rule with or without masks.
And how much is "much benefit"? Where is his evidence supporting or quantifying this?
If he thinks there's not much difference between being 6 feet away from an infected SP, for example, and 2 feet away or 6 inches away or DFK her, then he's an idiot.
As for his second statement, if you are the lone customer in a store that just opened after being closed all night, & there for a short time, i suggest there is little if anything to be concerned about virus in the environment from the previous day's customers. His statement also doesn't consider virus droplets & aerosols that plunge to the floor at a distance of 6 feet, but at a much closer distance would hit another person's face and infect them.
It's contradictory that he is so concerned about a mask that stops only 85-90% of the virus instead of the 95% (which is not a big difference at all) that the N95 does but does not worry about how far away 2 people are. To think how far away you are makes no difference is illogical.
As well the statement he is quoting simply says "especially when people are wearing masks", not N95's, just masks.
