Ford even said that he would reduce our electricity prices by 12% and it in fact has gone up by over 4%. I do not take him seriously, unless he goes by the script of the T rue health experts.
But when The Essential workers as well as the Medical experts within the hospitals have categorically stated that their hospitals have been overwhelmed and their ICU beds filled to capacity then I go by their word. Why did You not request Your Hospitals to help out? But post a true link where Your hospitals stated that they have all the available capacities to cope with the overfill from other hospitals. Did they at least help out for procedures such as Cancer Treatment from other hospitals?
I believe the hospitals in Toronto when they said they were at capacity and over worked. Which is why I was confused hospitals in the outskirts were sitting empty.

At the beginning when they were out if sanitizer I contacted a lab and bought 5000$ worth and distributed it to hospitals, police and ambulance workers. I have customers in all 3 fields.

I live in the outskirts and hospitals in my area were overwhelmed with patients. They also suspended procedures like hip replacements, colonoscopies, and many other procedures.
My own Family Members were absolutely stressed out as they were working in these hospitals and I got the Full picture from them and not from Douggie Boy or MSM!!

The province suspended procedures not the hospitals. Where I am the hospitals were empty of covid patients and all patients really.

I had to go to emergency one night for a problem. I saw empty beds and nurses standing around.

The Province did suspend the procedures. But the hospitals were definitely up to capacity with the admissions. That is why they had to suspend all the non-Pandemic related procedures in order to free up the beds for more potential admissions.

Now this was also the real issue that I mentioned:

“We are facing absenteeism of many health-care workers because they also have Omicron and we are trying to build up those reserves. We have introduced about 1,300 new people in the last few months to work in our hospitals, but we need both the spaces as well as the people in order to care for people with Omicron.”

Well I know my local hospital was empty except at one point there were 2 covid admissions, neither on icu.

Doctors and nurses definitely walked out. Then a bunch got fired by stupid mandates. Good way to break a system that had been over extended for more than a decade.

Nothing stupid with those mandates when the spread to patients in Senior Homes / Hospitals / Clinics was rife. If they were not imposed and we had business as usual, then our per capita numbers would have been easily as high as the USA. Do not know what the problem is especially when numerous studies have indicated that mandates were essential. Definitely not referring to the online Conspiracy Theorist Websites!!

Exactly. Protect the vulnerable in those places 100%. There was absolutely no reason to lock up healthy people and close businesses, some of those businesses permanently. Let's not forget what it did to the supply chain.

Are You not aware that even Seniors have to go shopping and also dine in the restaurants etc. That is why there were vaccine passports, musk mandates and it helped to prevent a large scale breakout. Businesses were not fully shut in the most recent restrictions. The restrictions applied to stores, restaurants, gyms, cinemas, sports facilities, hair dressing and nail salons, schools etc. Any facilities where close human to human contact was apparent. The reason is that healthy people can spread the virus, especially if they have not been vaccinated!!

Grocery delivery and food delivery exist. Vaccine passports are now and always will be bullshit.

The most recent lock down yes but what about the 4 or 5 before it? They lasted months with full closure and no one allowed in. The government handouts to business didn't save all of them.

A fitness center in the plaza with me lost her entire customer base to online workouts.

Tell the sick people to stay home, let everyone else out. You think we should just stay locked up forever because old people exist?

I don't know why quarantining healthy people being stupid is such a hard concept to grasp. Especially considering one of the worst "out breaks" we had was during one of the strictest lockdowns.

The restrictions applied to *lists every industry*. She the shit out of your head man.

Stop behaving like you know more than the Experts in this field. The fact is that You do not!!
Even Healthy people lost their lives, and a substantial number of those infected and having recovered still have symptoms that are still a cause for concern.
It is unfortunate that some businesses went down under. However, presently there are numerous businesses that cannot get enough of staff.
Anyway, who on earth mentioned that we should be locked up forever. We have to proceed in a cautious manner in reopening. False to state that the most loss of lives was a result of the lockdowns. The loss of lives were due to vaccines not being available at that time, and the lockdowns only occurred after the trending was skyrocketing upwards!!
Last year when push came to shove, then Ontario had to shut down once again. The hospitalizations were getting out of hand and despite your BS that your hospitals were practically empty, the fact is that our healthcare could not cope. I got first hand information of that fact. Again, follow the guidelines of the real experts and not the BS nonsense!!

Our hospital system was fucked long before covid. Sorry your selective memory doesn't remember it.

The rest of what you said is cherry picking gibberish.
