Yet another issue with Foolievre:

'We cannot endorse him': Anti-abortion group accuses Pierre Poilievre of being 'pro-abortion'
In January 2020, Poilievre told a Quebec newspaper that if he became prime minister, his government would not introduce any bill on abortion

Different circumstances. That blockade was on CN Rail private property. Pierre was right then and he's right to support the truckers now.
Bullshit He did not make an iota of difference about private property. It was all about moving goods and not preventing commerce.

Hard to hit that goldilocks just extreme enough stance, isn't it?
Pro convoy is ok but pro choice, nope.

Yet another issue with Foolievre:
Anyone who relies on silly pejorative labels for their opponents reveals that t hey have run out of useful things to say, and that therefore they feel that name calling is a useful distraction from dealing with actual policy discussions.

I feel that Justin Trudeau is a terrible leader, dividing our country, trying to enact policies that will make our country poorer, less democratic, and less ruled by fair laws then ever before.

I call him Justin Trudeau.

I doubt most Conservatives know what they’re in for.

Pierre Poilievre will serve well to kept the CPC together, from factions splitting off, from a Reform Party situation.
He will also push the CPC further away from being elected to form a government, will propel some CPC Social Conservatives to the Liberal side, likely cause a Liberal majority and serve to mask Trudeau’s blunders and blemishes. Poilievre is a gift to the fortunes of the Liberal Party towards ensuring that they continue to form the Federal government. Everyday, the CPC becomes increasingly more and more ill defined.
Poilievre may cause the NDP to lose ther “kingmaker” status.

Sorry, if you cannot get the drift of my post…In summary, PP the rabid attack dog is poised to become the driving force towards ensuring a Liberal majority.
It is very unfortunate that you are right on the money if the party choses PP as the next leader. He is a polarizing figure. It will ensure that the Liberal get a majority. Someone who is articulate, centralist, moderate need to step up for the leadership. So many who left to go into private sector do not want to go back into the ring.

I agree, PP really is the perfect choice.

Obviously, you have not noticed the name calling on Justin Trudeau. Why do You not go and slam these usual ones that do so, as it has been going on and on ever since he was nominated for the Leader of the Liberal Party. But when he surprised the same haters with being elected as PM, it escalated. Trudeau is not as terrible as You make him out to be. This divisiveness is now a global phenomenon ever since Trump was elected as the POTUS. Tell us why the vast majority of Canadians do support this Emergency Act and just the usual ones on the right will support these Protests? The Conservatives have been a poor opposition party with their leaders fuelling such stupid protests. You can add Foolievre to the mix!!

False choice.

I oppose the emergency act and I do not support acts of blocking roads, ridges, etc.

Wasn't that exactly what O'Toole brought to the table?

How can you get more polarized then the current party? you have about 40-50% traditional PCs 25% social conservatives and 25% hardcore rightwing nutjobs.

As an amateur political scientist, I think that the CPC is schizophrenic and needs either a shrink or an exorcism. For checks and balances, Canada needs a coherent Official Opposition and we do not have one, nor is one even on the horizon.

The most credible opposition is the BQ.

The party's platform is to separate from Canada. Come on now, no wonder Russia, China are all in on misinformation to get the truckers to overthrow the government. Canada is better than this.

Our country requires two credible national party in our westminister parliment model.
