Different circumstances. That blockade was on CN Rail private property. Pierre was right then and he's right to support the truckers now.
So you OPPOSE blockades on private property and SUPPORT blockades on public property, like international bridges?

What you say is nuts anyway because the whole gist of what the idiots who blockade are doing in either case is to extort ordinary Canadians by disrupting commerce. But taking your analogy at face value, shouldn't "private" property owners use private security forces to break the blockade and public authorities act for the common good of all by using public security forces like the army and police?
PeePee is actually leading in the poll. There are just no obvious leadership candidates available. And PeePee is already tainted goods over his initial support for the blockade.

PeePee could certainly channel the small-town anger base. But the smarter, more urban voters would think he was an idiot.
Reason EOT faltered last time is that everybody who liked him personally suspected that he couldn't control or lead his party and that the back bench CPC yahoos were uncontrollable and..... lookee, lookee, lookee!
No Jean is despised in Quebec. He is the main reason we now have a centered party (CAQ) that is not plague by scandal after scandal like in the Liberal party years....
