No wonder that Poilievre has just 10% support among Canadians:

Pierre Poilievre has just 10% support overall, 26% among Conservatives to become next CPC leader

Wow...... Doug Ford at Number 2. Desperate times for the Conservatives!!

I find his policies on the issues interesting:

The economy: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.
Health care: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.
National defence: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.
International trade: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.
Truth and reconciliation: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.
Global warming: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.
Sino-Canadian relations: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.
COVID response: Justin Trudeau is doing a terrible job.

Sure sounds like he has all the answers Canada needs. Go Pete Go!!!!

Different circumstances. That blockade was on CN Rail private property. Pierre was right then and he's right to support the truckers now.

So you OPPOSE blockades on private property and SUPPORT blockades on public property, like international bridges?

THAT'S your rationale?!

What you say is nuts anyway because the whole gist of what the idiots who blockade are doing in either case is to extort ordinary Canadians by disrupting commerce. But taking your analogy at face value, shouldn't "private" property owners use private security forces to break the blockade and public authorities act for the common good of all by using public security forces like the army and police?

PeePee is actually leading in the poll. There are just no obvious leadership candidates available. And PeePee is already tainted goods over his initial support for the blockade.

They need a guy who can appeal to the Central Canada moderate vote AND the rural Prairie "I hate the East cos it's woke!" vote. And that's going to be an impossible horse to ride.

Jean Charest won’t be able to moderate the angry West and Pierre Poilievre doesn’t want to.
They should have stuck with O’Toole to easily beat Trudeau next time.

Jean Charest is a smart guy, has experience and is very capable of winning Quebec. The Conservatives will therefore go with Pierre.

PeePee could certainly channel the small-town anger base. But the smarter, more urban voters would think he was an idiot.

Reason EOT faltered last time is that everybody who liked him personally suspected that he couldn't control or lead his party and that the back bench CPC yahoos were uncontrollable and..... lookee, lookee, lookee!

By peepee you refer to Pierre? If so you underestimate him. My bet is he will be our next PM.
I think so. We vote parties out in this country and cross our fingers the new guy is better.

If they regain power, they will probably try to get rid of the FPTP system.

If the NDP have any brains, they will also support getting rid of FPTP.

They will likely try to redistrict instead. More seats out West, and less in the 416 / 905
