considering I thought Vancouver would represent the west and Anaheim would have beat Detroit, I sizely underestimated them.

it will be an incredible series.

if Detroit can stop Crosby and Malkin, they will win... but I don't think they'll be able to... so I'm saying Pens will win.

Sunday May 31 is TBA? That could be an afternoon start for NBC. Could be a bit of a problem if they play extended OT in game 1.

Sidney Crosby has really proved he's the real deal, not only in scoring points but leadership. The Pens look really focused and unbeatable. Pens in 6.

In another thread I stated that if both of these teams are healthy then I would pick the Red Wings to win as they have very good depth.

If Lidstrom and Datsyuk are really hurting and/or unable to play then Detroit is in trouble. These two guys are stars and they cannot be replaced.

I must say that Crosby has been fantastic and Malkin has been excellent as well and they combine for a terrific 1-2 punch.

It should be a great series.

I hope Pittsburgh bears those fu***** wings tonight:) . I predict Pittsburgh will win tonight 4-2.

I'm glad I don't bet my predictions on pro-line as I would be bankrupt by now---lol.

Perspective is everything.

In the spring of 1989, the Wings and the Leafs were two hopelessly futile hockey clubs. Since then the Wings have won four Stanley Cups - possibly five, while the Leafs have Richard Peddie.

MLSE va fancul.

If the Wings stay healthy, the Peguins defensemen are no match for them; Wings in six.

I'm not a wings fan either, but let's face it, it's over. They always have the puck and smother their opponent. Won't go any further than five.

Pittburgh never saw anyone like this in the east, wings don't even have to stay healthy, if someone goes down they just replace them.

Squash, pick another team to hate, cause detroit's gonna be good for a while.

Go Wings.

I have to give credit to Pitt though....they did manage to score in both games this year. Nice improvement.......course that's only because of our injuries.

P.S. Greatest moment ever at a pro hockey game.....hearing the Spartan fight song after goal #3 last night. Judging by all of the singing, there were a lot of us Spartans at the Joe last night.

Pittsburg isn't mentally tough enough to beat a savy 4 line deep team like Detroit. Malkin and Crosby if hit anymore should have a nervous breakdown soon and become totally unravled...Detroit in 5.

After the first period of game one it was evident Detroit was so much better. Crosby and Malkin are used to dominating against weaker eastern conference teams and are in shock right now.

Wings players are like robots, rarely retaliate, none are dirty players, never lose their cool. Pittsburgh tries to penetrate the zone, then all of a sudden the Detroit defencemen have posession and are passing the puck out of the zone. Would like to see Pit win one at home, then the wings win it in game 5 at home.

It's over.

It is amazing how quickly the Wings can transition from defense to offense. Thought I heard on the radio this morning that only 2 teams have ever come back to win the Cup in the past 44 years after being down 0-2. Can you name the 2 teams?

Montreal was one of them when they came back from 0-2 against Chicago in 1971.

...down 0-3 to the Red Wings in the 1942 Finals...they come back and win 4 straight to take the Cup....ahh the glory days of the franchise....

The Pens are toast....when Chris Osgood is outplaying Mac Andre Fleury..you know the Pens are screwed
