It would have been a helluva boring final had the Wings swept. Now the big game is Thursday,if the Pens win..maybe it's series on..if not...bye bye Pens...

I hope the Pens can hold onto this lead:confused: ? 4-2 after 2 periods. Nice shorthanded goal by Staal.

If the Pens come all the way back, maybe the radio guy will tell us who were the other 2 teams to have come back from an 0-2 deficit in the past 44 years.

Fleury looks really hot in net and the Pens are scoring enough goals to win on the strength of their goaltending.

Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
Good job Pens, some had already written them off 4 straight.

A few of the goals were excellent passing plays.

3 down...one to go...

That was a total dismantling by the Wings...and a total meltdown by the Pens...

Total dismantling by the refs. Wings did a great job playing up to them. Some excellent dives.

Oh that Maxine Talbot slash on Pavel Datsyuk's injured foot when the game was out-of-reach wasn't dirty now was it?

I will let you know I am not a Red Wing fan

...but you obviously know SFA about hockey if you cannot see that almost every penalty the Pens had was deserved...Like that Malkin elbow on Franzen..the slash on Datsyuk...I don't recall seeing a penalty called on the Pens that was even marginal..

The Pens totally melted down under the pressure of game 5. Had they scored even one goal on their great chances in the first 5-7 minutes of the game, the result could have been much different...but they didn't..and they were completely outclassed for the last 53 mins...only saving grace for the Pens is that it only counts for one loss....and they are going home, where they have been a totally different team...

Maybe next year PENS!

This reminds me of 1980 when the Islanders won the cup and went on to win 3 more straight. A young team called the Edmonton Oilers and 2 young superstars named Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier learned their lessons from the Dynasty Islanders. The Oilers went on to win 4 straight cups. Fast forward to today, Redwings are schooling the PENS and 2 young superstars Crosby and Malkin. Will the Redwings be a dynasty? Will the PENS follow after? That remains to be seen but very simular pattern to the 1980's. I know today dynasties are rare, given the parody in the NHL and perhaps 2 or 3 straight Cup wins are enough to consider a dynasty in today's NHL.

Pittsburg is a City of Champions...STEELERS! The city of Buffalo are losers. The Bills suck anyways even with T.O. I think the PENS will come around and eventually win a the CUP, which is more than I can say for the LEAFS.

Yes that's right. My bad.

The Montreal Canadians interupted the Oiler's dynasty in 1985-86.

If only Paul Coffey was 20 years younger and still playing defense for the Pens. Could that guy skate! The only guy to-day who could skate even remotely like Coffey is Scott Neidermayer.
