this will be a bitter pill for right wingers to swallow.

When i had to take a second ambulance trip to hospital, I was pissed. So I asked the paramedics to take me to Etobicoke General instead of Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. They misdiagnosed my condition and I started drowning from within. Had I not spoken up I'd be pushing up the daisies now. When i first went to Cortallucci, they diagnosed me hemoglobin deficiency, they gave me four blood transfusions. More than likely, I didn't need so many. Then started having shortness of breath within days of getting home, I was driven to Etobicoke General where I was diagnosed with pulmonary edema. I spent the next 20 days in hospital while they stabilized my condition, then they injected a catheter into my lungs. After I went home again, a nurse would show up every second day to replace the drainage bag.

I had an appointment with the Oncologist two weeks after I was discharged from hospital. She put me on a new drug called Brukinsa - Zanubrutinib, at first it made me very listless for a month then i started getting my energy back. My lung catheter was removed the week prior to the Victoria Day long weekend.

I am hoping and praying for you, von.

Wow...feel sorry for you guys....hope it's worth the bad experience. My father in law passed away stage 4 colon cancer...refused the chemo so...it is what it is. He was 72.

Provided it has not metastasized to organs external to
the colon, colorectal cancer is one of the few types of cancer
that can be treated effectively by alternatives like TCM.
Surgery or radiation therapy may still be needed to remove
the tumor but symptoms that overlap with inflammatory
bowel disease or irritable bowel syndrome could be ameliorated.

Early detection and being advocate for yourself. My sister is lung cancer free for 9 year. We caught it stage 1A and even donated money to Toronto General hospital and she jumped the queue and her upper right lung removed. I know people for strong history family of colon cancer who thought by eating well and living a healthy lifestyle they do not need screening. Be your own advocates and push family doctors for testing.

I don't mean to contradict you; for those suffering warning signs
of colorectal cancer (pruritus ani, ulcerative colitis, IBS etc) doing
all of those 3 things will not likely provide any meaningful relief.

Everyone should get colonscopy after age 50 but blood tests can indicated if something is wrong like low RBC and iron. Family history plays a big factor

I once asked a specialist if removal of polyps detected by colonoscopy
would lead to improvement of the conditions that prompted him
to recommend the procedure to me. He was hesitant to answer my
question. I wasn't demanding from him an absolute answer as I understand
all invasive operations entail risk. I can only surmise that while colonoscopy
is the tool to use to strike down colon cancer preemptively it can't
be relied on to treat colon diseases.

How are you doing, I sincerely hope you haven't suffered horrific side effects from the ordeal. I had six rounds of chemo, seven white blood cells shots and four transfusions...and ended up with pulmonary edema. The oncologist told me I still have water in my lungs, I see her again in October.

Jean Sibelius lived to a ripe young age of 92 but it wasn't all hunky dory. In his early 50's a tumor was removed from his throat. When he composed his 4th Symphony he still didn't know if he'd been granted a stay of execution. The opening chords has the waters flowing from my eyes and my nose.

If Orson Welles and Rick Wakeman had a baby, he'd be Leif Segerstam.
