Kyle Dubas is paying $3 million for a special assistant and is performing poorly. That special assistant should be shown the door ASAP and give the $3 million pay cheque to goalie Joseph Will. I believe in pay for performance. Matthews and Tavares should be let go and pay Matthew Knies a few million $.

CP
Who is the $3M dollar special assistant?

Almost shit my pants laughing when Slick Willy was floating around aimlessly in the high slot, avoiding any potential for physical contact with an opposing player as usual, and was gifted a goal right on his stick from the puck unexpectedly rebounding out of the corner off the referee's knee. Never a better comedy script has been written. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

To be fair, that flaming Sherwood up his ass appears to still be smoldering away as his game seems to have picked up a tad of late. Not a lot, but still recognizable. 👏
Even when he scores a goal you’re critical of him…I guess you don’t get he was playing the high man, you’d probably want him behind the goal line with the other two forwards and let the other team break out with a 3 or 4 on 2.

Joseph Woll had a good 2021 season but 2022 was injury riddled. He's been healthy this season, if I was Dubas I would have cut Murray and let Woll play for the No. 1 spot.

I said that Woll needed to play more at the start of the season...better late than on the golf course.

They didn't trade Esposito. He was claimed on waivers.
The point is that one of the greatest goalies in history was on their roster and they let him go and protected the elderly Gumpster instead. Harley the sign of a management team that some try to portray as being elite.

Vachon was 3 years younger that Espo. Worsley was the vet that was going to play a backup role.

Plus they had a 20 year old Phil Myre that was stepping up.

Ernie Wakely was in the wings......

They were loaded with goaltending talent. The Habs system at it's finest.

Espo was 25 his first year with les Habs. There was no need to evaluate him higher than what they had. It was a numbers crunch and Espo was put on waivers. Makes perfect sense.

They trade for Dryden and he comes in in 71 and supplants both Myre and Vachon. Then goes on to outplay Esposito in the finals. The next 7 years he's glorious and they have what seemed to be the yearly Stanley Cup parade down Sainte Catherine Street....

I hate to say it, but it’s a bit of karma for what Bunting did to Cernak. Both injuries were caused by dirty play. Bunting‘s intention was so stupidly obvious while Bennett was evilly smart to hide it.

Good example of art being uses as false propaganda to fool the masses....The artist represents William Nylander as having passion for the game and a competitive fire burning in his eyes....nothing could be further from the truth! LMAO! ;):ROFLMAO:
I remember when Nylander went on strike like 2-3 years ago. I would have ditch him. The guy has talent but does not give a fuck. Wanted a few millions. He got them. Now he unfortunately still have to play but he obviously does not like that part ;)

Game 4 Analysis: Maple Leafs avoid the sweep by finally imposing their style of game; now can they repeat it? (mapleleafshotstove.com)

Excerpt:
" Let’s start with the first goal scorer in Nylander. I thought Willy was the only one of the core four to have a pulse in Game 3, and he was also the best player on the ice in the back half of Game 2, singlehandedly trying to will the team to tie the game that night. He wasn’t that level of dominance in this game, but he was still very good. Nylander scored a goal, did his job defensively, created a number of looks for his teammates (one pass to find Michael Bunting all alone on the PP was a dandy), and the team won his minutes. The Leafs owned over 70% of the expected goals with Nylander on the ice at 5v5, out-shooting and out-attempting Florida in that time. "

Speaking of salary Nylander is not even top 4 on Leafs in salary. If you include O'Reilly who's making 7.5 million (Rielly is also 7.5 mill) Nylander is 6th on Leafs in salary.

Wonder what the over/under is that he shows up and actually plays to his potential tonight when it matters most?
