Probably npt a bad return for someone who was not part of their future.

It gives them a chance to get lucky on at least one of three.

I like the way Tavares is playing this year. I hope they re-sign him and he retires here.

Exact same record (to this point) as last year. Fewer goals, more boring to watch but improved defensive structure and vastly more confident goaltending.

Still early so I'll continue to be optimistic but there are many red flags.

Hopefully the PP catches some momentum and captain Ron Jeremy starts scoring

The League leading goal scorer has 10. Nylander has 9.

This season 7 Leafs have as many or more hits than Benoit who lead the team in hits last season.

Matthews out against Boston. Boston last 2 games shut outs. Expect a Leaf win.
League leader in shots is none other than Matthews.

All 3 PP goals the result of Knies in front of the net.
This should be the formula moving forward.

Amongst goalies who have played 8 or more games Stolarz is 3rd in both GAA and SV%.
Don't think he's played a bad game so far.

Tanev leads the League in blocked shots.

OEL behind only McCabe for total ice time on the Leafs.
Has more hits than Benoit.

Lorentz has 3 goals as a 4th liner. Only 5 Leafs have scored more.
Matthews has 5 goals.

Stolarz has exceeded my expectations. I'm loving the play of OEL and Lorentz. All superb acquisitions. Knies is making great strides in his game and there are few teams in the NHL that can boast a more talented triumvirate than Matthews, Marner & Nylander. At this point its just about consistency, getting the PP going and getting Woll's level of play up. We need him to be decent at least.
