Someone tell Nylander that this is not his contract year cause you know he never performs otherwise.
btw, the other Nylander has 5 goals in 5 games for the Marlies.
Last year all of Tres signings were questionable in the early stages.
This year all his signings have been exceptional.
Tanev makes Rielly look like a legit defensive defenseman.
I didn't know OEL had a fiesty side.
Stolarz has had zero down moments.
Lorentz is a fantastic 4th liner. Big, strong, smart, can kill penalites.
Max P big, strong, hits, can score, former captain.
What's noteable of all these signings is that they are all big.
Somehow I don't see Robertson in the starting lineup for the playoffs.
His forte is his shot. He really doesn't have much of anything else so if he ain't scoring he ain't doing much.
Playoffs LW I see Knies, McMann, Max P, Lorentz. All 4 are big and can hit.
They could go into the playoffs with Marner being the only small player.
Have to say I was never much a fan of Timmons. He had defensive deficiencies but he's looked better lately.
Perhaps what he needed was consistent playing time.
Florida was once on par with Toronto and like Toronto had a good offensive team.
Then Florida became a very good defensive team on top of their offense.
Leafs finally came to their senses and are building and developing just that.
