When the other team knows you won’t fight it’s not good. You can’t let them face wash Auston Matthews like that…..it’s horrible for morale.

Im not expecting your leading goal scorer to fight. But somebody has to stir the pot. Just like Boston did tonight in the third period.

Playoffs are a war. You can win with talent or can win with grit. Leafs are neither right now

I actually like Sheldon Keeffe. He’s not the problem. When you get blown out like game 1 in Boston someone needs to take ownership and punch Marchands lights out before the game is over.

Awesome 3rd period in the Bruins/Panthers game. You will never see that kind of fight out of the Leafs. They just curl up and go home

I had criticized them being soft numerous times in seasons past, but this series they were just as tough as the Bruins. Leafs lost because their goaltending was inferior to the Bruins and several of their core players underperformed. Coaching should also be held accountable for the power play failure.

Marchand would have calmed down with a Wendel Clark on the ice. Marchand is dirty but not completely crazy. So it wouldn't have happened.

Maple Leaf Hockey is highly profitable in terms of profitability across all sports venues in North America but historically highly painful to watch come playoff time. As usually the annual playoff early exit will lead to some internal kneecapping of the organization.

No doubt MLSE wants the Leafs to go deep in the playoffs, more $$$$$ for MLSE.

Florida could easily crash and bang their way to another final. But back to the Leafs keep Matthews Nylander, Domi, Bertuzzi, Knies, keep the goalies. Get rid of Reilly…. way over rated. Get something for him. Time to move on from him. He’s just average and not that physical. He was on the ice for that OT goal. Pasta on the blow by. How do you get a break away on a dump in?

Rielly is a sieve defensively. There's no way we can move him, no team will take on that contract. I say lets convert him to a winger and see what transpires.
Marner and Tavares are not moving anywhere. They each have one year left on their contracts. I don't blame Marner like others are doing. It was clear to me he had not healed fully from the high ankle sprain that kept him out for most of March. As for Tavares I agree that offensively (1G and 1A) he was almost non existent in the series. Didn't help that our PP was pathetic. But he did win 55.7% of his faceoffs, had 22 SOG and dished out 34 bodychecks. The one thing I will say about the core 4 - they don't have that win at all costs attitude that it takes to prevail when the chips are down. And I doubt that will change come next season, even with a coaching change.

The core 4 are not playoff performers , just keep Nylander, get rid of the another 3 and Rielly too lol.
It not coaching problem it the so called over paid soft bums that don't show up in the playoffs, they shouldn't give them big money before achieving anthing in the playoffs,

He is not the one who signed Tavares and limited the Leaf's ability to grab 2 better defender. Wich such they would still be in the playoff..

Keefe is the sacrificial lamb for now...Next they bring in Berube and make a big deal of to deflect from Shanahan's ineptitude.

Of course hiring Joel Quenneville would be the ultimate appeasement.....Hmmm.
