Not even close. He specifically referenced me when he mentioned Captain Obvious when we were not engaged in a discussion. That is the definition of him allowing me to live in his head. I'd said nothing to him or about him. I had every right to call him out and mock him for that.

Guaranteed that now he will have the courage to come out from behind your (figurative) skirt. He is that predictable.

If you're his self-appointed guardian you should have a talk with him.

I know but he is part of the core 4 because of his salary. It's sad to see the team captain on the third line now yet fans believe this team is a contender. No team in the league has their captain on the bottom pair.

At this stage Matthews and Rielly are the real captains of the team regardless.
Tavares, especially with NYI, was always able to elevate his wingers who were mostly no names.
He's there to support a rookie in McMann and a near rookie in Robertson.
The style of play between Nylander and Tavares was never the best fit.
This is an excellent move. Nylander can drive his own line.
The 3rd line was weak earlier in the year and has always been weak in the playoffs.
Especially with Kadri suspended twice and Tavares injured vs Montreal
Everyone knows playoffs you need all 4 lines.

I was going to say not every NHL captain is on the top 2 lines.

Domi 2 goals the night before and now Bert gets 3.
Tavares is not exclusively 3rd line center. He gets some shifts with M&M when they load it up and he was on to hold down the lead in the last 30 seconds of the game with Kampf and Nylander.
