Nylander now tied for 3rd in league scoring with less games played.
There are currently 97 players with a higher AAV than Nylander's $6,962,366
This with a flat cap through the covid years.

I heard that Knies was helped off the ice today. Any updates?

After practice, the word on Knies’ condition was positive.

“We’re not going to know more until (Thursday), but it looks good,” Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said. “He’s not ruled out for the game (in New York against the Islanders).”

Knies could not put any weight on the leg as teammates supported him when he departed the ice. Knies then required the help of the training staff as he gingerly made his way to the room.

‘It’s another one of those head scratching decisions that Keefe makes. You should always have your best lineup starting 3 on 3 and Rielly is a much better choice. The ot loss was all on McCabe. Rielly would never have made that stupid pass that led to an icing and he then allowed his check to go to net free.

It’s a pretty lackadaisical effort by Nylander if you ask me. Hope we won’t see many of those again.

If Colorado is a measuring stick team for Stanley Cup Championships, then the Leafs have a long way to go.

The refs certainly gave all the help Colorado needed for the comeback and Jones didn’t make any key saves. On the bright side the 3rd and 4th lines and Rielly were really good.

The bigger concern is how the older guys are going to be. Brodie, Giordano and Tavares looked slow and weak.

Sure but Championship teams learn to overcome that, the Leafs didn't do it. Plus the Leafs PP sucks of late not sure if it would help them, the Avs would've scored shorthanded.

The reffing was pretty shitty. And I agree our 3rd and 4th lines played well. Domi had one of his best games of the year. Same with Jarnkrok. But damn McCabe has been struggling the past couple of games. Inexcusable though to squander a 3 goal lead like that, especially on home ice. Some of that blame lands on the coach's shoulders. We've done this far too often.

Wonder how Willy will perform after signing that $92mm contact. All that money must be heavy to carry.

So quiet here when the Leafs are floundering. Where’s Reaves when we need a scapegoat?

Where‘s that new “sticking up for each other attitude “ after your best player was cross checked in the ribs ?
