I think that was the Leafs' most complete game of the season... so far, I hope.

not always sure...
First star of the game: The Toronto Maple Leafs goal posts.
They should take a bow.
Nashville has a super hot goaltender in Juuse Saros but they rested him to play Montreal on the second night of their back-to-back tonight.
Their back up could have used more support from those posts.

Shots on goal:
Leafs 36
Nashville 18
Leafs protected their backup goalie.
Nashville didn't.

From The Star about Leafs defence
https://www.thestar.com/sports/leaf...cle_60482c0c-9256-11ee-987e-737186e28103.html

Synopsis:
Leafs allowed 2 or fewer goals in only 6 of 24 games this season. That's 25%
Last year it was 42 of 82 over 50%.
GAA this season 3.17. GAA last season 2.68
Toronto has 5th best points percentage in entire league. On pace for 109. Last season they had 111.
Focus has been on regulation wins but the other side of the coin 6 regulation losses is 4th lowest in league.
Glass half full person would see that as Leafs are a tough team to beat.
Leafs lead the league in comeback wins with 9. 4 of which were from 2 or more goals.
5 on 5 save percentage Leafs are 17th this season. Last season they were 8th.

I thought it was obvious. They're playing Timmons, Benoit, Lajoie, and Lagesson. Aside from Timmons who I don't consider any good ever heard of these players before this year? And Timmons is considered ahead of the other 3 in the depth chart. Also, Klingberg was a huge minus machine but he'll never play another game for the Leafs again.

I had tickets to last nights game at the ABS Areana. I didn’t realize this place was over one hour away from my hotel in Brooklyn. So I ended up not going. I felt horrible about that until I see this result. Would have been a cool experience, and I hate wasting the money, but it doesn’t feel like I missed too much.

Lafferty is an astounding +15.
That is best amongst all Vancouver forwards.

Well the Leafs will do what they do best, suffer. Joseph Woll has a high ankle sprain, their optimistic assessment is he'll be back in 3-4 weeks...I doubt it. A high ankle sprain takes it's own time, if rushed Woll could be out the rest of the season and most of next season as well. He could be lost to an Achilles Tendon Rupture or ACL, pick your disaster.

Kevin Durant came back from a high ankle sprain too soon, we all say what happened. He was attempting to do a push back fade away against Serge Ibaka.
