The Jays worst struggles were when El Gran Capitan was injured.

As much as I love Kirk the stats don't seem to back that up. The Jays are 37-39 without Kirk in the lineup.
Without the following players in the lineup here is the team's record
George Springer 13-19
Vlad Guerrero Jr 7-8
Andres Gimenez 3-8

I think it was the moves at the trade deadline that really sparked the team. Since then their record is 22-13 boosted by performances from Jose Soriano, Josh Smith and Brett Bateman. Another key performer from a production perspective has been Nathan Lukes who is on an absolute tear to start this month.

Maybe I'm wrong, I hope Sean Keys hasn't been juicing like Addison Barger. He could be the clean up hitter we need.

Charles McAdoo amazes me, has he made an error everywhere he's played? He's also related to former Buffalo Braves great Bob McAdoo.

Interesting facts mentioned on Sportsnet FAN590 today. The Detroit Tigers have lost 68 games this year in the 8th inning or later when leading. They just completed a 4 game series with the Cleveland Indians, and despite going 1 and 3 in the series they never once trailed during all 4 games.

Clearly I haven’t been watching out-of-town scoreboards closely enough to notice that Cleveland won those three games all in the ninth or extra innings. I only really noticed they were comeback wins.

Way too many moving parts in baseball to look at IN/OUT numbers for an individual player.
Its a bad analytic for baseball. Use something like WAR, even with its various issues.

Kirk was great, and the Jays best player, from the ASB to the end of August, when the Jays turned it around.

I hope someone is making a joke here, and that you don't actually believe that is anywhere close to correct.

Even if the FAN590 said it, minimal thought is required to see how impossible that is.

Is it incorrect? I heard it earlier today on Sportsnet FAN590.

Ok, I won't argue with you. I just relayed what I heard.
The second part of my post is correct, I believe. The Tigers lost 3 out of 4 to the Guardians without ever trailing in the series. All the Guardian victories were walk offs.

They were trailing when it matters most - at the end of the game.

On the highway of life
Minor league playoffs, Vancouver hosts the first two games of the Northwest League championship tomorrow and Wednesday vs. Eugene Emeralds (SF).
It's rematch of the 2022 final when Addison Barger and Davis Schneider were on the team.

Florida Complex League Jays lost their single-game semi-final to the Rays in late July.

Buffalo, NH, Dunedin aren't making the playoffs this year.
