The tribute to Buck Martinez was great, and he deserved it. Kudos to the Blue Jay organization for doing a great job with it.
Conspicuous by his absence was Jerry Haworth. Tom Cheek's widow was present and acknowledged, but no one from Haworth's camp. I'm wondering if he had a falling out with the organization. He should have been put in the ring of excellence(or whatever it's called) years ago.

Thanks. If I'm reading it correctly his home ERA was 8.94, while his away ERA was 5.61. Both high, but significantly higher at home. I was curious because Colorado has a reputation for being unkind to pitchers.

Keeping Robbie and Barry Bonds out of the HOF is pure bullshit. Ty Cobb, Kenesaw Landis and Enos Slaughter were all insane racists and all in the HOF. In 1947 Slaughter tried to lead a strike in MLB when Jackie was called up to the Dodgers. He would eat a watermelon in the dugout when Jackie came to bat. He would attempt to injure Jackie whenever they crossed paths. Branch Rickey told Robinson that he no longer needed to be diplomat at the start of the 1949 season. When they played the Cardinals, Jackie hit Slaughter with a forearm shiver that would make Scott Stevens proud.

Sean Keys had a great season in AAA, (28 Home Runs, in 357 AB; 1.019 OPS), but failed to impress during his initial taste of The Show, (.167 batting average, 13 strikeouts in 36 at bats). Keys is a corner infielder, so if he can translate his AAA numbers to the Majors, in a best case scenario he might share the 1B, 3B and DH roles with Okamoto and Vlad if all three are healthy after George Springer's contract expires at the end of the month.
29 year old Daz Cameron had 5 hits in 24 at bats for the Jays as another lottery ticket which didn't pan out. In doing so, he raised his career batting average to .200436 from exactly .200.
Departing Sebastien Rodriguez is a 20 year old pitcher signed by the Blue Jays in June, 2026. The incoming Rodriguez, Jose, is 25 years old and he may have had recent arm surgery. He was on the Dodgers' minor league injury list from May, 2025 until June, 2026. What stands out for me is his 12.6 strikeouts per nine innings in his minor league career.
The Dodgers signed Rodriguez in 2019, so their logic in dealing him may have to do with not having a spot for him on the 40 man roster. He's never played in the Majors, but he will be eligible for the Rule 5 Draft in December if he's not protected.
Ricky Tiedemann was at one time rated as the top left handed starter in the minors, but he's had arm trouble and has pitched only 30 innings at all levels combined in the last three seasons. He'll make slightly less than $150K additional income this year if the Jays keep him on the Major League roster for the rest of this month.

I'm puzzled by why you mentioned Robbie Alomar and Barry Bonds not being in the Hall of Fame, (Alomar was removed from the Blue Jays' Level of Excellence), in a post about racism in the 1940's. Other than that all players mentioned played Major League Baseball, there's nothing of substance to connect the two groups. It's not as if you don't segue between two unrelated topics in the same post at least once per day, but this has nothing to do with cooking shows, The Sopranos, Mikey Madison nor tennis.
In addition to being a steroid cheat, Barry Bonds was and is a complete asshole, just like his father. The only modern MLB players who are comparable to the two of them in that regard are Albert Belle and John Rocker.
The Blue Jays severed ties with Alomar because he sexually harrassed a female employee of the team. The team took down his Hall of Fame banner, and un-retired his number. He was also banned by the Commissioner from any and all jobs associated with Major League teams and their affiliates. He would also have been ineligible for induction into the Hall of Fame, if he wasn't already a member.
Only two players have ever been banned from MLB for sexual harassment, so one must conclude that he did more than just wolf whistle.
