Alomar was inducted in 2011.
I've been pretty curious about Roberto Alomar recently. I searched him on YouTube and Google and there is absolutely nothing current since being cut off from the Blue Jays franchise, aside from a five year gap and two interviews this year both in the Toronto Sun and the Toronto Star since those allegations that got him cut off from the Blue Jays franchise for sexual harassment.. The private investigations about that, to spitting in umpires faces, to concealing his HIV status to previous girlfriends… And those women later charged him with this… and then here he is putting gag orders and settling out of court, etc. etc. This guy is a mess. He is a real real mess. I am at a point where I just consider him to be a bad guy. He is a piece of shit that doesn't even deserve to be in the HOF. How are Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens worse than him? Alomar in his recent Twitter posts refers to himself as "part of the HOF family"… So obviously that means everything to him. That level of status. Alomar is garbage as far as I'm concerned.

I wish Carlos Delgado was in the HOF. I really like how the Jay's organization has opened up the memorial for what an unbelievable player he was. If Dave Winfield and Fred McGriff are there… Carlos Delgado deserves to be there as well.

I don't think there's a procedure to remove a player from a sports Hall of Fame after their induction. The ineligible list prevents certain players from being inducted, and bias on the part of the some of the electorate from the BBWAA certainly plays a part in some other exclusions, notably players whose achievements were enhanced by PEDs. Your golden boy Roger Clemens isn't ineligible, but more than 25% of those who vote don't think he merits inclusion at this time.

Take a look at Albert Belle's statistics https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/belleal01.shtml , keeping in mind that his career was cut short by injury shortly after his 34th birthday. He has the minimum 10 years, and every one of his full seasons was great statistically.

from wikipedia:

"In his first year of Hall of Fame eligibility (2006), he garnered only 7.7% of the baseball writers' votes, missing election by an extremely wide margin. His vote total, though, was high enough to keep his name on the ballot for the following year. In 2007, he received only 19 votes (3.5%), knocking him off the ballot.".

Belle's surly personality had everything to do with his being snubbed by almost all of the voters.

Attempting to remove someone post-induction is a slippery slope which sports teams don't want to attempt to navigate, particularly when it involves the behavior of players from the distant past being viewed through a modern lens. Baseball will never become that woke.

Belle was an RBI machine. Used to be an important stat. I think it still is but most of baseball doesn't seem to care to much about it. How often have we watched the Jays go 1 for 9 or 2 for 12 with men in scoring position on any given day.

How much of the allegations against him are true. One of his accusers accused him of giving her full blown AIDS yet he seems to be in good health. Was it ever confirmed that he is HIV positive.

Robbie dated a teenaged Mary Pierce, she was breathtaking in her youth. He showed up at the Australian Open to support her. She broke him physically.

I don't remember one of the accusers saying that. What I do remember is both accusers that went as far as court, he settled out of court with both of them. From what I recall, one of them was a massage therapist from New Jersey or something like that. The other one was his ex girlfriend from Puerto Rico that was a fitness model. I believe there was also a tennis player as well. Again, this is all by memory and I do remember the allegations were more in line with him saying that he was HIV negative in order to have unprotected intercourse. I also recall one of the accusers saying that he would often talk about how men raped him in the minor leagues in order to gain some form of sympathy. He also said he will look forward to the chance of portraying his innocence in the sexual misconduct allegation from the Blue Jays organization… Now he says he couldn't afford to go to court. He also says this whole ordeal was because Mark Shapiro doesn't like him since trading him from Cleveland days after telling him he will never be traded. I also recall the first accuser saying that when he went to the Mets, he was so broken down physically, it was then where he scheduled a spinal tap which determined he had AIDS.

This entire story revolving around him is incredibly bizarre.

The Tennis player he was involved with was Mary Pierce...To my knowledge there was no mention of sexual misconduct with her.

Third best 2nd bagger I have ever seen...Joe Morgan...Ryne Sandberg...Alomar.
