He is the furthest thing from cool.

I bet he's never even seen an escort. LOL.

He's a corporate, yes-man ass licker.
lol tightly wound, totally anal and annoyingly meticulous. Probably needs the towel patterns lined up, and all the labels front facing, with classical music playing in the background, like that loser husband on Sleeping With The Enemy.

OK I am taking a break from this thread. Nothing more to see here. Jays suck. Jays lost. Shack feel free to shoot me a text to say what’s up.

Texas will win the W.S.

Good to see Gabe Moreno doing so well. Probably getting better managing and coaching but most credit to him. He is a better player and a better athlete than Kirk. Also noticed that Arizona pitcher was shutting out the Dodgers and they did not pull him in the fourth.

Kershaw is terrible in the post-season.

That trade should not be forgiven. Moreno is going to hurt for years. Ross Aikens can throw John Schneider under the bus when it comes to to the decision to pull Berios…. And sure he is right in saying the problem wasn’t pitching. The problem was not scoring. But that trade Gurriel/Moreno for Varsho SHOULD cost him his job. Even on paper that trade makes no sense. Gurriel has the ability to carry an entire team when he gets hot. We gave Arizona too much. I would love to see Gurriel sign with the Jays again.

OK I’m out….lol Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

More evidence that Atkins is BSing. He talked about being surprised that Berrios was being pulled so early. He only found out at the same time that the fans did. He then goes on to say that when he spoke to the starters after the game they were all aware of the plan.

So he's saying Schneider knew, the coaching staff knew, the starting pitchers knew, but HE didn't know. Yah, right.

Can't wait to hear what top big-head has to say on Thursday.

Vlad has low baseball IQ but his skill still allows him decent numbers. His best year was when he was fat. I'd say put a barbecue in the dugout and make him full time dh. Make his only job .280 - 45 - 125 slash line.

He has no value in the field, or trade him with manoah. The only caveat is judge 👨‍⚖️ had his first monster year when he was 25, then almost disappeared for 3 years and wasn't who he is now until he turned 29. Do jays or their fans play the waiting game?

Schneider is a choker, he chokes in big moments. Like a cop who can't make the right split second decision. Every occupation has them. Only a certain amount of Dr's can do surgery or work ER, the rest are family Dr's.

I would also trade Vladdy, but I won't say he has a low baseball IQ. I think he is a natural hitting talent. I also think that the Blue Jays are pumping too many numbers into his mind and messing with his natural approach. I do think that he also is a young, inexperienced hitter, who chases success (bad swing and miss).

Put him in a ballpark with a short left field fence and a team that allows him to choice his swing and approch. We've seen what happens when the Blue Jays analysis department micromanages this team.

If I'm Houston, I'm seeing what the Jays want for Vladdy.

They did that when they modified the skydome last year and he still hit few home runs. His teammates are tired of him, ice bucket etc. He has no approach at the plate. He motioned for bo to calm down then got picked off.

He tries to give the young players advice when he can barely hit. I'm done with him.

He missed a throw for a double play in the series because he was too immobile, it was slightly wide of the bag. This team needs an overhaul

The maturity is absolutely a problem for me. First it was the Home Run Jacket, then the Gatorade Showers. I don't think the team is tired of him, but I do think they are focusing so much on a small win in June, more then preparing for the playoff run. Now he is only 24, which is young for a team leader in general. Remember Donaldson, Encarnaion were 32, Bautista was 35 in 2015-16, and they all made mistakes with pervious teams. These things take a lot of time and effort in today's MLB. Trout is 32 now, Ohtani is 29, Harper is 30, Judge is 31. Vladdy is still on his rookie contract for goodness' sake.

Now will he grow into a mature leader? Maybe. Will they hold on to him long enough to see? I don't know.

Well Judge fractured his wrist in 2018 and that kept him to 413 AB's and hampered his swing the rest of the year.

The next year he was limited to 378 AB's with an oblique strain.

In 2020 he played through a rib injury dating back to the season before when he dove for a fly ball.

Bottom line is that injuries caused him to miss significant time and restricted his totals. Before the 2020 season he changed his swing limiting his bat movement prior to engaging the ball. The result fantastic. He now can wait a little longer on pitches and take them to the opposite field more often. I first saw the video breakdown on a Yankee fan site and it's quite noticeable the difference in his swing when he first came in the league and now.

Vladdy is actually a Gold Glove candidate at 1st.

I got a radical idea for the manager next year, Schneider or whoever. Announce Guerrero will be benched for the first 2 games of the season as a message that blunders like getting picked off will not be tolerated. Any such mistakes in 2024 or failure to hustle, you ride the pines the next game.

I think the only way to get guerrero to improve is to make him mad. Bench him. And no more ice buckets.

Can you imagine Vladdy in the Rangers or Braves batting lineup? Much better.

Watching the Rangers-Orioles game today, I can't help but wonder what the Jays would have looked like this year with Bruce Bochy at the helm.

Nothing wrong with Vladdy's defence.

Guerrero is not a leader, but I am convinced that if you surround him with the right protection in the order both before, and after, he will hit hit 40+ easily.

The more I listen to, and watch people breaking down the Ross Atkins press conference, the more I can’t imagine Ross Atkins surviving and keeping his job. That press conference was a total blame deflecting circus show. I think almost everyone has lost confidence in him.

The problem is that Atkins and Shapiro aren't there to win ball games. Yes, if they do win great. That's a bonus. But remember that they are basically businessmen and Managers, Directors, VPs of a division of ROGERS, and ROGERS only cares about money in and money out.

Could you get someone better? Maybe. Would that person be able to work in a corporate environment? Maybe not.

Atkins and Shapiro will stay until they can't make the company any more money. Period.

I didn’t like the home run jacket .. those 21 Jays were amongst the first to do it .. but to be fair to that team almost every other team in the league now has some variation of a home run jacket or unique celebtration .. . sometimes a crown, a vest, a stake .. at this point we are one of the few teams that does nothing. So can’t get to upset with it anymore if something comes back.

To me I get more annoyed that opponents are hitting more home runs than us .

Apparently, there is a Shapiro press conference coming up for Thursday. Lots of Podcasters are hoping this will be announcing the firing of Aitkins.

They can hope all they want. I'm pretty sure that Atkins and the Prez worked together on what Atkins was going to say at his press conference.

As with everything with these guys, "It's a process."
