I like the Texas Rangers. I’m probably a little biased because I was there two weeks ago. Man, they look good.

I think this Mark Shapiro press conference tomorrow will quite possibly drop some bombs.

Philip
Texas is great, but very streaky. Top level manager in Bochy.

I'm expecting Shapeero (phonetic spelling) to tow the corporate line and stand by Atkins (phonetic spelling LOL) but allow Schneider to remain despite his "independent" decision to pull Berrios.

If he indicts Atkins, then he indicts himself. It will be more of the "same old, same old" next year.

Rogers wants to see how much his renovations improve the bottom line.

I hereby nominate Ross Atkins for NLCS MVP. He deserves a big fat assist on this one. Congratulations to Moreno, Gurriel JR, and the entire Arizona Diamondbacks for making it to the NLCS. Oh, and also congratulations to Arizona for finishing first in all of Major League Baseball with the best defence, and least amount of errors in 2023.

Way to go Rossy boy!

Unfortunately this is about bang on. I thought maybe just from an optics stand point there is a small chance Atkins gets fired, which is why he couldn't fire Schneider but they probably wouldn't have waited if they were going to let him go. We're going to have to live with this shit for another couple of years at least.

Thinking back to the Jose Bautista tribute day, it was Edward Rogers who received the largest amount of boos from the crowd followed closely by Shapiro. In fact, I don't think anyone else got booed. If Rougned Odor was there he would have received a warmer response.

LOL. The fans know, don't they.

Actually, Rogers has been generous by increasing the payroll over the payroll tax level. He gets booed for raping the country with his fees for his services.

Very true. I give him and his late Father credit for being committed to making the Blue Jays competitive on a long term basis. Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Rogers 100% ownership of the team. Much, much better than Interbrew SA(poor Gord Ash).

For those Blue Jay fans who are fed up with Blue Jay coaching/ management, look at the LA Dodgers. Sportsnet showed this statistic last night of the biggest playoff upsets based on regular season win differential. The Dodger teams of the last 3 years hold 3 of the top 6 positions. Dave Roberts has been manager for 8 successful regular seasons with a stacked line up and 8 playoff appearences. However, he has won "only" one World Series with those stacked line ups, and has managed 3 of the top 6 teams that are victims of the biggest playoff upsets in history.

Playoff teams Year/ round Regular season win differential

White Sox over Cubs 1906 WS -23
Padres over Dodgers 2022 NLDS -22
Yankees over Mariners 2001 ALDS -21
Braves over Dodgers 2021 NLCS -18
Mets over Reds 1973 NLCS -17
Diamondbacks over Dodgers 2023 NLDS -16

Moreno is finding his stride as a big game playoff performer. Very good for the 23-year-old….. thanks again Ross!!

Too bad I was right. The Piece of Shap said nothing and nothing is going to change.

He talked about being more transparent but was totally opaque.

He talked about ultimately being the one responsible. What does that mine. What price is he paying for the failure of a team that fell way below expectations.

He and Atkins speak the same mumbo jumbo.

Lol those two are thicker than thieves. Well, there we have it, a tad more clarity and the possibility of some coaching changes.
