I'm speaking about retaliatory attacks against a largely civilian population in response to terrorist attacks in effort to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of terrorist attacks. That was what shack had proposed. When has that ever worked?

It worked dropping Fat Man and Little boy killing mostly civilians forcing Japan to surrender and ending WW2. I know it's not the same circumstance as what you're asking but I suspect that was his thought.

Hamas never presented a real threat to Israel.
They got outside the prison walls for the first time in 17 years but they have no army or serious weapons.
There was zero chance they posed a serious risk to the country.

In contrast Israel is using the $3.8 billion in US weapons they get from the US to blow up the people in Gaza like fish in a barrel.
There is nowhere to hide and no safety zone.

They have no choice but to target areas populated by civilians where they KNOW Hamas is operating and using those civilians as shields.

Israel knows that the world is watching and holding Israel to a higher standard. They have to be certain of what they are doing.

Gaza is a concentration camp with 2.3 million people, 50% of whom are children, the size of Montreal.
Palestinians have no place they can flee to, there is no safe zone and even hospitals are now targets.

Israel is targeting the entire strip and bombing indiscriminately.
There is no escape if you are a civilian and nowhere safe.

1) It says the attackers' soldiers are immensely inferior to Israel's. And just because Israel gets U.S. funding, it doesn't change the fact that Israel has a vastly superior and more competent force. It is what it is, regardless of the reasons.

2) It also says, and I repeat myself, they are monumentally stupid and/or blinded by hate to continue attacking so many times and get their asses kicked, increase the suffering of their people and as a result they end up being in a worse position than they were previously each time.

So, as usual, your claims, like the one above, are clearly not correct.

Seeing as the bombs in WWII were not targetted at military sites, a case could be made for your claim.

The stated goal of Israel is to destroy Hamas, not the people of Gaza. As such, it is not Israel's fault that Hamas hides behind innocent citizens during Israel's Hamas targetted attacks and, also as such, it is not genocide by Israel. If anything Hamas is more responsible for the deaths/genocide of Gazans by using them as shields.

You support Hamas' attack of Oct. 7, you support Hamas' tactics during this conflict, ergo you support the deaths/genocide of Gazans. Despicable.

Nuclear weapons were a choice when the US was the only nation who had them, and when the enemy was a different colour. That's what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

It's a different world now, with the consequences of nuclear war being totally unacceptable.

I fear that Iran, if it does at some point possess nuclear weapons, is the nation most likely to use them, and probably against Israel.

I can't imagine Israel using its nuclear weapons, except in direct response to a nuclear attack against it.

You must be proud of the fact that an army with $3.8 billion in annual US funding, with tanks, jets, nukes, drones, missiles, artillery and the 'iron dome' can kill so many civilians. Palestinians have no army, no heavy weapons and no defences. Its just a slaughter.
