and now they beat Philly
leafs win 3-2 over first-class-Philly.

that was a GOOD game. probably one of the better ones that i've seen the leafs involved in all this year. JS Aubin used to play well in Philly as a Penguin from what I recall.

switched back and forth between that and the SJ/CBJ's game... another dandy... the Sharks got only 28 shots on Marc Denis... but a fair amount of them were high scoring chances...

Be interested to know what the Leafs record is without Jason Allison in the lineup? I remember the last time the Leafs had that 7-8 game unbeaten streak he was out of the lineup with an injury.

Leafs win against Buffalo 7-0 Sat Apr. 1st. As the leafs record their largest winning score differential on home ice of this season and hand the Sabres their largest goal spread loss of their season...

Buffalo continues their slide...

BUT, Florida wins too tonight staying ahead of Toronto... it was an excellent showing for Luongo, Niewendyk and Jackman had a strong game too...

Enjoy the wins at the end of a forgotten season.

The Leafs are only winning because they have nothing on the line. No pressure, no need to get the two points...

Had they displayed this passion/emotion 15 games ago it would be a different story - They would be fighting for the last spot and maybe, yes maybe, force at least one round of hockey entertainment.

They are playing the spoiler role to perfection.

Just don't place false hopes in this sudden glimpse of greatness. The majority of current losers on their roster has put them in the bottom of the league and they will do it again if given the chance.

A grain of salt leaf fans, a grain of salt...

i don't see passion/emotion... in fact, alot of giveaways, poor defensive zone coverage -much like all season...

buffalo skunked this one, that's all!

BTW-

with the Habs winning tonight, they made it impossible for NY Islanders and Boston Bruins to make the post-season this year...

Considering the fact that the Leafs are defacto out of the playoffs the wagon is actually pretty light right now. Anyone break any ankles jumping off? Going to have trouble jumping on again next year? Losers.

we'll see who's the wagon jumpers come October...

do a search of all the posts from last October and November and you can already name a few... it's getting awfully empty on this wagon!

I’m still a Leafs fan, always have been, always will be. I hate people that say they only watch their team when they are playing well! What kind of fan is that!?

Sure the Leafs have had a shit season, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t continue to watch/support them.

Are the Leafs going to make the playoffs? No. But I am still going to be smiling like a motherfucker, from ear to fuckin’ ear, when the Sens choke in the playoffs!:D

....couldn't have said it better myself...The Sens are going to have their hands full no matter who they get in the 1st round...especially without the Dominator around ...

No jumping from any wagon...never will.

Im still a Leaf fan but have ceased posting about them because of idiots like 21Pro that love to start shit, get called on being wrong then goes away with his tail between his legs to some other section to stir it up there. If any Leaf fans were jumping off the bandwagon they'd be posting negative comments about them. Im just seeing no posts, not people jumping off anything. If only the Leafs were playing earlier like they are now!

21Pro who is your team anyway? Never hear you cheering for anyone just ragging on others.

i'ma hockey fan... that's all.

sure i liked pittsburgh and chicago's chances of improving this season, but that was speculation without studying them more than just on paper (and it's not like i predicted them to win the cup or anything)... the teams i did know more about i was correct about... ie, leafs and canucks not making post-season, calgary not as strong as 03-04, buffalo, carolina and atlanta, anaheim making the post-season, and boston probably not(though i thought they would end ahead of the leafs)

now, about Go Leafs Go... i'm just trying to stir up conversation about the leafs to keep this thread going... there was alot of leaf-talk pre season but little now... i'm the only one posting the post-game results after every leaf game. don't appreciate that... that's fine by me... but i'll continue to do so.

but, right now there is alot to talk about with the leafs. they should have a good team next year, depending on what executive decisions are made.

It's good to remain positive. If TB & Montreal would start a mini slide, and Toronto can keep this winning up, anything is possible.
Conference games against 6-8th seed teams would be ideal.

...........
If Mtl (8 GR) and TB (7 GR) win only 3 of their remaining games, it forces the Leafs to win at least 7 of their 8 remaining games:

NY Islanders at Toronto
Toronto at Boston
Toronto at Philadelphia
Florida at Toronto
Toronto at NY Islanders
Ottawa at Toronto
Toronto at Buffalo
Pittsburgh at Toronto

Very unlikely......

1. You mean like us Sens fans have been smilin' all year every time the Sens played Bluie?

2. You mean like we were smilin' when Bluie went into Montreal for a crucial two game set and got blown out both games?

3. You mean smilin' like a motherfucker when JFJ did nothin at the trade deadline and said (with a straight face) he liked where the Laffs were positioned for the rest of the season and next year. (Believe me, us Sens fans like the way they're positioned too.)

3. You mean choke like the Laffs have been doin' every year since 1967? When they last won the cup with only six teams in the league.

Have a nice early start to your golf season, loser!!! And get used to it.

When are you Leaf fans going to give it up. You must realize that apart from Chicago Cubs fans you are the biggest losers of pro sports. And noone touches you in the realm of whining, bitching, and complaining. Congrats on that. The Leafs are done for this year. Decade. Century. Whatever. Put a fork in 'em. They're done. Go with Leaf fans favourite saying in my lifetime, "well. . . there's always next year". Dream on. Have hope. Wish the most wonderful thoughts. Poke fun at better teams. Degrade the Senators and Canadiens. That's what you all do best.

P.S. Do you think Mats will need a caddy this spring? Maybe Eddie? I could use a buck I hear their salaries are outta sight

A Sens fan!? WOW this is your year to win the cup I guess! LOL

Read my post again! I already said that the Leafs have had a shit season!!

1.) The Leafs made shity Free agent signings in the off season and except for a few players, they don’t have any talent on the team. The Sens are good, because to their credit they have drafted and traded well. But enjoy your stacked team while it lasts, because with the cap, the Sens will not be able to keep all of their talent.

2.) The Leafs are a weak, depleted team this season, myself and other Leafs fans are not denying that. Like I already said, the Sens have a small window of opportunity to win the cup with their current roster. Dominik Hasek is getting older (Yeah I know…Belfour is old too, but you never heard me say that I was a fan of his in the first place!) and they wont be able to keep all of their players.

3.) JFJ did nothing at the trade deadline…Well there is multiple reasons for that (one being that he is useless, and hopefully he will be gone at the end of the season), but the main reason, being that the Leafs where trying to make a run at the playoffs and they did not want to trade off any of their better players. Another reason is that they don’t really have the depth (trade bait) that other teams have in order to make blockbuster trades.

4.) (I think you meant to put a number 4 here…but again your intake of caffeine is in question) Have the Sens ever won the cup? Have they made it to the conference finals ever? Hmm! I think you need to calm your ass down before you go and prepare the victory parade! LMFAO

I don’t play golf myself you clown! LOL But I know that the Sens will be joining the Leafs out on the green, sooner than later!:p
