I don't think they would throw a game, but they know that tomorrow is a bigger game in terms of ratings, and attention. Hockey Night in Canada is a Canadian staple and always warrants more attention. So I think in the back of their heads they were thinking, ok Flames are tough, but tomorrow we got Edmonton in a nationally televised event. It is for sure in the back of their heads. But I would not go as far to say they threw the game. Come on...

Good game tonight. We all skated pretty hard. It was cool to see so many Leaf fans in Edmonton. Kind of weird hearing, "Go Leafs Go" in an away game. Anyway, it was a good bounce back from last nights tough loss. I knew they were holding back yesterday. LOL Leafs win.

well it must be all that rain in Vancouver and it got to the Leafs - but the leafs had a hard time putting the puck past Auld -
I was at the game too (I live in Vancouver). The Canucks original '70's uniforms was a nice touch. The Leafs should have worn their 3rd uni's as well.
All I can say is McCabe better not be out for too long, they really missed him on the power play. It was not one of Belfour's best games (I think he plays better when he faces lots of shots), but bad defence could be blamed for 2 of the goals. What Domi was doing on a line with Sundin was beyond me. Sundin would have had much more chance of making an impact with skilled linemates. Steen was okay as a linemate, but not Domi. Kilger is turning out to be a great pickup, he has a great work ethic.
Very entertaining game all the same, too bad the Leafs won't be back for years.

The fuck was that? We were up 3 in the first. Man did they let it go in the second. The Great One sure had a good pep talk during that first intermission. I can't believe we lost after having such a big lead. FUCK!!!!!! Leafs lose.
